I'm old enough to remember the Billboard Top 100's 1959 Song of the Year: Billy Horton's "Battle of New Orleans" which was a song about the last battle of the War of 1812. However, some of the lyrics would not work today. On the other hand, we have a different battle to fight.

Brown's Motel (built in the 1940's) provided temporary housing for visiting construction workers on local jobs and newcomers to Howard County, MD while they searched for something permanent. The site will be turned into luxury houses. Sadly, now there's one less affordable option for those in need.
