A story heavy game full of mystery and investigation: The Reluctant Redemption of Verity Lux. I had the opportunity to contribute these background paintings to the game. For most compositions, I was provided with a tiny pencil thumbnail for layout/composition, then built a 3D base, and finished by painting in Photoshop (and making sure everything is cleanly layered to allow for parallax effects ingame). For some backgrounds, I worked with existing 3D assets, or modified existing Blender files made by Max Wilson. .
