The only harm done to the ducks and geese was emotional. She "couldn't" figure out how to get back in the fence without someone opening it for her. She insisted on hiking a mountain yesterday afternoon. This morning she pushed my 10.5yo off the bed to get between us for snuggles.

So, even though she limps, or hops on three legs, she doesn't actually believe there's anything wrong with her. She found a gap in the fence and we realized this when I heard a splash in the pond that was too big to be a duck or goose, and a ruckus of squawking. She had made it halfway across.

So, most of my adventures since getting here on Saturday have involved one of my brother's dogs. See, she is a Belgian Malinois (mostly; she's mixed with husky and the barest splash of German shepherd). She's also waiting on surgery for one of her rear PCLs. Did I mention she's a Belgian Malinois?

If anyone wants a real and non-AI answer, washing/rinsing it and then either a) dry with a lint-free towel, b) air dry, c) rinse with alcohol and give a good shake, and store in silk/satin bag or inside out cotton sock. Lint roller before rinsing can help. (Sorry, sex educator, got excited🙈)

It's a twist you wouldn't see coming. It is not, sadly, a tale I remembered from my youthly reading, but I have it in my memories now. It's a factual story about emotional defrauding. It's meant as a warning and an example of why emotional purity is important before and after marriage.
