"My friends are my power" in Kingdom Hearts is like...not terrible as a translation of つながる心が俺の力だ in the context it's first used but the concept of "connected hearts" is actually really important to the series writ large and you lose something down the line by not stating it outright there.

Donald can make a potent white mage if you set him to prioritize defensive magic and never use anything else. He's got a reputation for not healing enough but really if you just narrow him down to one school of magic he'll cast that pretty reliably.

90% of it is from the Wolverine footage and trailers (which, in fairness, doesn't look great) that's making people look at the studio's prior work more suspiciously. The backlash to Spider-Man is overblown but I get why people aren't jazzed about what we've seen of Wolverine

Oddly Spider-Man 2, LaD Infinite Wealth, and FF7 Rebirth all came out within a year of each other and can all be described as "sequel to a banger game that scales up, adds some cool new mechanics, but while still good isn't quite as cohesive as the first due to feature bloat and some story stuff"

Can tell by your later posts you already won, but for future reference: NPC trainers before the credits basically never have EVs so you're likely to match or outstat them even if your levels are a bit lower. Going into the final battle at -5 is common practice

Krakoa is a great arc and deserves to be called one of the all-time X storylines but that thing was always a time bomb. Like from the very start you can't read House/Powers and *not* see all the things that could go wrong and how Charles is in way over his head

Ch5 in general felt like a huge difficulty spike. Going from replaying Ch4 (which people were already calling harder than 1-3 at the time) with no-deaths to 5 where the superboss took an hour and I wiped once on the chapter boss even with the bonus equipment was eye-opening

Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III in the same night was an insane 1-2 punch. I was watching with a friend at the time, when we saw the FFXV trailer he joked "well the plan was to make KH3 after Versus XIII right, guess that's never happening" and then BAM! KH3 confirmed right after

Mods mean less than nothing to me, and the thing is even if 152-250 were readily available (which would be a marked improvement) it doesn't change the fact that gen 2 is the most boring battle system in the series' history, lacking gen 1's quirks or gen 3+'s actual fixes

Early game you just grind up enough to get all the equipment you need and you should be set, lategame if you hit a wall just go to wherever the closest metal slimes are and roll in the gains until you feel you're ready. Either way, it's nice and simple

The Judgment games are by and large better than any of the named Yakuza/LaD games they just got a couple behind-the-scenes issues, mostly relating to actor likenesses and who they can and can't use That said it's small peanuts compared to what has been going on with Stranger than Heaven god damn

The Shadow dungeons are unflattering, outlandish, and ultimately untrue exaggerations of their source's insecurities. They are going to be distasteful, especially since they come from the minds of teenagers who jump to conclusions. None of them are literal, making them literal misses the point.
