And oddly, despite the cultural fixation on coal miners and "clean, beautiful coal," you never hear about the shutdown of Navajo Generating Station and the associated coal mines, which had a huge impact on an economically depressed rural area. Can't imagine why en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navajo_...
