Social Services were my saviour. An unpaid carer suffers such stress but the State never acknowledges &?rarely mentions their devotion. SS always stepped in to give me practical help (which I paid towards).

My husband has Council funded place in an Anchor Home; he is very well cared for bearing in mind Advanced Alzheimer’s. I contribute both his pensions + a bit of my income. I’m happy to do it tho it leaves me short. Salaries & overheads are enormous. How some find £6k a month self fund I don’t know

OG is a hard act to follow for most of our players who loved & trusted him. PS is like the supply teacher covering for a beloved teacher. His tough stance in that context, trying to show who’s the new boss, could well backfire.
