Easy, hold the little frack ro it's word, and enjoy the free fall.

These are people like the rest of us. How the frack can this country even consider thinking of itself as a good place, when it treats some people like this.

Another side of this is that those currently leaving are the ones who can afford to do so. The other side of that is they are likely to be taking their tax money elsewhere. So whilst cis people may not notice, they will soon enough when their taxes have to go up.

how desperately it needs replacing. More than 8000 voices are being ignored. Labour could have run with a half dead donkey and still stood a good chance of winning. Safe seats should not exist.

As for popularised, yes the messaging is now more popularist, but the policies have been green party policies for as long as I can remember just never really messaged particularly well. What this election highlighted was just haw abysmal or FPTP voting actually is and

Sorry Ian, I cannot agree with this analysis. This was one of the safest seats for labour, yet they still dropped by 2%, whereas greens who were the only party to not loose votes, gained 22%. Zack didnt gointo this election because he thought it was an easy win, he is a local.

WTF. Trans panic my bum. From that article it sound more likely that he wanted sex and he refused to accept her saying no. So attempted rape and murder. Her being trans has no bearing on it and the original trial was correct to exclude that.

Perhaps being recycled by a toilet tissue company would be a good placee for them. Fortunately I only keep toiled tissue in the house for guests who are not used to using a toilet 'shower' so don't need to worry about wiping my arse with them.

Only explanation i can think of is it's cheap. If one wants justice then the only answer is prison. At the end of the day the victims and/or ther family and friends have to live with the consequences of the crime, so should the perpetrator, with the key word being live.

Problem is that requires thinking about both the rule in question AND the ways one can get caught., and of course how to avoid the latter.

They probably did carry out an investigation, one that lasted all of two minutes, but it just resulted in a quick discussion on the only rule that any good private school will teach: Rules are guidance, but for goodness sake if you opt to break them DONT EVER GET CAUGHT.

Next step, book a biometric appointment and get all the evidence paperwork uploaded, then the long wait for the result.

Though £3226 for an application is one heck of a hit to the bank account - good job I had been saving for the last couple of years. However that payment marks the date the application is submitted, which is within 28 days before the current FLR expires, so no chance of overstaying - phew

Lymbat @lymbat.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
This one is of course different because it is a different type application and much more significant. ( ILR = Indefinite Leave to Remain, so as perminant as one can get without becoming a citizen - which is hopefully next)

Well that was a stressful and expensive way to spend a weekend. Filling in and submitting an ILR Set (M) visa application. Those forms change each time I have needed to fill one in, even with the previous 2 being the same type of application FLR Set (M).

This time fracking ourselves over. Sorry to say but Britisn is not a Great as so many like to think. To many show that on a daily basis. Yes the ex colonies are fracked, because of us, but like it or not under the thin veneer is britian really that much better?
120
Lymbat @lymbat.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
Of course we applied that British determination to it and in some areas (like LGBT rights) kept pushing, becoming one of the better members of the EU in those areas. Then in 2016, enough idiots decided to rip us away from our neighbours, and britian reverted incredably back to type.

Lymbat @lymbat.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
A few managed to unshackle themselves from that BS, Australia and Canada being the two notable ones, but even there the indigenous people were fracked over. As for britian, well we had to be dragged, kicking and screaming, out of our victorian malaise by our neighbours.

Lymbat @lymbat.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
Probably true of any ex British empire invaded states. Some brits hanker after the days of the empire forgetting that all the brits did, was invade countries, frack up their evolving politics, raid the countries for anything of value and install the fracked up victoriana era 'moral' values.

The lesson: if you want to go quick, go quiet.

The unlicensed bike stuck to 30 mph, the manufacturer spec bike stuck to 50 mph. After they had both passed other officers asked pedestrians which they though was going quicker. Most people said the unlicensed one.

A number of years ago the Lindon police did an experiment with two similer motorbikes. One with a straight unlicensed exhaust and one as per manufactures specs. Both traveled down main road with lots of pedestrians on the pavements.

If they want to make a noise, they should get s megaphone, at least they could hide their faces behind it. If they want to go fast, fit a good exhaust, with an even better silencer, and turn the frack out of the engine (and brakes, those frackers are going to be needed).

Luckily we are not in the market to buy a new car, but if we were we would have to think very carefully. EV would be 1st choice, but we live in a flat and are not permitted to put a charging point in the car park. So charging would have to be done elsewhere.
000
Lymbat @lymbat.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Same shit, just different messaging. All of it BS. Resetting the country's relationship with the EU cannot happen whilst policies, and misinterpretation of the law, is allowed to punish and force minorities out of the country.

Not true. Volvo Cars are owned by Geely, a Chinese company, but Volvo busses are owned by Volvo Group a completely separate company, which has been independant since 1968, who also produce Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Penta.

Given my views on trumpetta and the rest of that criminal, inhumane admin cartel, there is no way i would get through customs without being detained. I will not consider visiting that country until trumpetta is completely out of the picture and everything they have done has been completely reversed

Cannot say I thought enough would be foolish enough to shoot themselves in the foot the first time, especially as some were fairly smart - or at least appeared to be. So I wouldn't be suprised if given a second chance too many would take aim at the other foot.

Hmm, yet the channel is actually relatively shallow, compared to the sea / ocean around the rest of UK / Ireland, and is one of the reasons the tunnel was even possible. Some people really need to engage brain before typing.

I was going to add that as EVs get more popular this may be more of an issue even in countries like the UK, where stick shift (manual, we call it) is still dominant. However some EVs are coming out with stick now. So yes that may end up as a generational thing.
000
Lymbat @lymbat.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Stick shift shouldn't be an issue, most vehicles until EVs were stick shift in UK.* However I am completely with you on cursive, but it is not just one generation. Upto 20% of people are dyslexic and dyslexic often struggle with cursive writing, so not completely generational.

I'll wait for them to take positive action, words are cheap and meaningless especially from most politicians.

Lymbat @lymbat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
Talk is cheap and with most MPs usually complete bollocks. Minimum is electoral reforms - make votes really mean something. They have one chance, the last PM wasted it. So stop the BS talking and act!
010
Lymbat @lymbat.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
As with the last PM, I am not interested in talk or promises. They have a big enough majority to push anything through parliament . So the current PM has 6 to 12 months to ACTION significant proactive change, including reversing the worst of their predecessors social damage (trans rights).

Essentially the current approach to immigration is effectively giving up on targeting feet, and aiming significantly higher, reproductive area. One day the anti immigration lot will, perhaps, wake up and realise what they have done, but by then

The harder they clamp down on regular migration the more people will attempt irregular migration. Yes that may translate more or bigger boat crossings, but also include those on other visas (like visit visas -still not easy to get, but a lot easier than settlement visas)

people, them means a reduction in the money available fill HO financial hole left by the reduced visa income. In other words, less regular immigration will result in either more services being cut or taxes going up, probably both. 2) potentially more people using irregular migration.

Even just taking those visa applications, each one is a significant gain for the HO reducing the costs of those necessities like emergency services. So each reduction means more money will be needed from outside the HO to cover it's costs. Less immigrant working
