Wasn't the biggest fan of the procedurally generated levels; I prefer the puzzle being an actual object/person instead of random shapes but it's nice to have it if you're really desperate for more content. (New SasaMyaa chapter this spring, it's been so longgggg :DDDDDDD)

A screenshot from the game Voxelgram. A 3D nonogram puzzle is in progress. Some cubes being grey and unfilled, while others are green and complete.
Instructions are on the left and right hand side of the screen, allowing the player to undo moves and change layers to only show a segment of the puzzle.

A screenshot of the achievement list for Voxelgram. It is 100% completed, all 37 achievements have been obtained.

2025 Media Thread - #7: Voxelgram (100%) Saw it on sale and wanted something to scratch the Picross 3D itch and this was sooo good. So much variety in the levels and that's before even looking at all the workshop stuff. (I should probably get back to Picross 3D at some point huh.)

Everyone knows the moon's made of cheese. (God it's been over a month since I've completed anything, AO3 addiction goes crazyyyyy.)

A screenshot from PowerWash Simulator. The player character on the moon, looking upon the fully cleaned moon rocket, alongside a picnic with various baskets and cups dotted about. The dark space sky takes up the top half of the screenshot. Wensleydale...

2025 Media Thread - #6: PowerWash Simulator - Wallace & Gromit Special Pack Alice>W&G=Shrek>Sponge>BTTF>W40K About on par with the Shrek pack. Really enjoyed the moon rocket and the outside of their house; putting a bunch of vehicles in the same level is much nicer than individual vehicle levels.

A screenshot from PowerWash Simulator. The player character is in Wallace & Gromit's dining room. There's mud everywhere, although it has been partially cleaned to reveal a wooden/yellow colour palette.

A screenshot from PowerWash Simulator. The player character is onboard the moon rocket. It's almost entirely clean, revealing the wallpaper and the furnishings in place. There's a little bit of muck left. Outside the window, is the lunar's cheese surface.

Been playing a bunch of No Man's Sky recently. It's taken quite a few attempts over the years (as most games do in my head), so it's nice to finally get stuck into it.

A screenshot from No Man's Sky. A pink lizard-like alien is fishing in a yellow-pink ocean. A planetary ring can be seen in the green sky.

Very tanky enemies and the final boss was extremely frustrating due to the amount of crashes. That said, there were way more interesting ideas in OF compared to BS which I definitely appreciated. Overall a good time, just be prepared for a lacking end. 7/10

First-person POV of the player character holding a pistol. Alien landscape, with floating islands and a purple skybox.

First-person POV of the player character holding the Barnacle Grapple (grapple hook). Green alien growths are on the walls and a long climbable rope hangs to the side. A xen healing pool is placed in the corner.

2025 Media Thread - #5: Half-Life: Opposing Force Much higher highs than Blue Shift but I felt the lows were way lower. The new weapons were really fun (especially the LMG & Sniper), and I liked the grapple point. At the same time, the latter combat sequences were really frustrating.

Half-Life: Opposing Force. Green colour scheme, with protagonist Adrian Shephard on the cover. He's holding an assault rifle.

First-person POV of the player character looking at the sky with a pistol in hand. Cliffs surround the player.

A lot of standing around waiting for NPCs to move (including one bit where the NPC kept running back and forth in a loop, coulda been a scary bug) and the puzzles were very barebones. Still definitely worth a play considering the short length. 6/10

First-person shot of the player character holding an assault rifle while on an alien planet. Dark skies emcompass the land while giant strange towers dominate the landscape.

2025 Media Thread - #4: Half-Life: Blue Shift I picked HL:BS first because I heard it was the weaker of the 2 expansion packs and while it was much weaker than Half-Life, I still had some fun with it. The first half had some fun combat encounters, but the second half really bogged the game down.

Half-Life: Blue Shift Cover Art. The player character, Barney Calhoun poses with a pistol in hand staring straight ahead with a frown on his face.

First-person shot of the player character holding a pistol, while looking at a waterfall of a hazardous liquid. A bridge is to the left of the screen.

2025 Media Thread - #3: Half-Life It seriously hasn't aged a day. I very briefly played it years back but fell off it. This time round, my friend suggested playing it as a tactical shooter and I had so much fun. Last few chapters fall off a bit but overall I loved it ^^ 10/10

2025 Media Thread - #2: Super Mario 3D Land (100%) First got this back in 2012 and after dozens of attempts over the years, I finally beat the game ^^ Very fun and a pretty smooth difficulty curve outside of a couple levels, and the secret crown level at the end actually made me wanna cry. 9/10

Cover art of Super Mario 3D Land for the Nintendo 3DS. Mario is jumping, with an assortment of characters and objects surrounding him. A Piranha Plant sits near the bottom of the cover, with a Gooma and a Koopa Troopa to his left and right. Brick, ? and Jump blocks scatter the screen.

Statistics screen of a Super Mario 3D Land playthrough. It is complete, ending on level S8-Crown, with a total of 307 star coins and 177 lives. A total of 254 lives were lost during the playthrough.

2025 Media Thread - #1: Tonari no Youkai-san I started this back in April when it started airing and I finally got round to finishing it! I loved the worldbuilding and for a slice-of-life show it got pretty dark at points. I will say tho that it did lean too much into drama at the end. 7.5/10

Poster for Tonari no Youkai-san. Poster is set in a mountainous region in a field.
On the poster is a little girl on the left, a large crow tengu next to her. In the foreground, a nekomata looks to the front. Blue skies and large clouds are in the sky, along with a Japanese dragon flying in the distance.
