My view from the booth at the Chris Lorenzo show in DC tonight, was an absolute blast to help run visuals, all the led bars on the Playscape on the stage are actually run by the visuals in resolume

this rant has been brought to you by having a VRChat staff member explicitly state that "third person is not an accessibility feature" in the VRChat discord open beta discussion channel

I want to make sure it is abundantly clear I left names out of this because I have no ill will or desire to bring drama to those involved I only want to air out the story of my journey to where I am now in the VR rave scene

screenshot of a message draft that reads:
With everything going on in the scene I want to tell a bit of a story... And before anyone asks I will not name and shame groups or individuals involved. I have been involved in the VR rave scene for a while and started DJing in August 2024... In that time I have tried to avoid drama, I have tried to be the best person I can be, have I fucked up? definitely but everyone does and anyone who says they haven't is a fucking liar... at the beginning of my journey as a DJ I was dumb and got on the bad side of the wrong person, I am awkward and have very little social awareness and that got me in trouble, that interaction and the aftermath made me close off for a good amount of time and honestly probably would have left the scene if it wasn't for a few good friends giving me a second chance but I have always carried the anxiety from that fuckup even though it's been almost 2 years... after that I found a home at a group and became a regular DJ there and things where starting to look up... then maybe a year into being heavily involved there some differences in opinion and my being vocal to friends in a way that involved me forgetting group instances are not a place for private conversation led to another divide and eventually led to my being kicked off staff and having my DJ roles removed from that group... while that hurt rebuilding was easier the second time and honestly it opened up opportunities to branch out beyond a single group and grow as a DJ beyond the limited genres that group played... idk where I am going with this I just felt a need to vent and tell my journey

Credit card companies having this policy is transphobic discrimination... I will not debate this fact. If a Cis woman can change their last name after marriage off just a few minutes on chat support but a trans person can't change their name on the account without jumping thru ridiculous hoops...
