I’m afraid your account of what took place subsequently was inaccurate, however. There was certainly no apology or recantation from the jockey in question. Entirely and extremely the opposite, in fact.

Sorry I did check on here for Qs this morning, I thought, but have only seen this now. Did you get what you wanted to know, if accidentally?

Calling all Roadies! Please get your questions in for Darragh O'Keeffe. He's joining us at 10am this Thursday for a special pre-racing edition of #RoadToCheltenham, live on Thyestes Day at Gowran. (Our show also repeated at the usual time of 9pm.)

A typically thorough piece from Lydia Hislop. I’d be pretty confident myself that Jango Baie will not only stay the Gold Cup trip but actually improve for it but, as always, once I’ve backed a horse ante-post I find it difficult to take an entirely objective view.

www.theguardian.com/sport/2025/d... Another interesting article by @gregwood.bsky.social which I missed when it was published earlier this week. The piece itself and also the comments underneath are well worth a read.

Extremely unlikely, if you mean that as a positive. Hope this helps.

I’m trying to spend less time on social media in general, but you’re right that I should resume posting here what I post elsewhere. I will endeavour to do that. Thanks for the nudge.

Thank you. I think Karl Burke’s comments actually both prove the problem is real and suggest that behaviour can be changed.

www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/burke-brands... Quite a long read but well worth the effort. @lydiahislop.bsky.social fights her corner in typically articulate fashion and comes out on top, for me. The unremitting trend in breeding towards speed, speed and more speed is worth resisting.

Worth a listen, particularly with reference to those “thoughts about the National”.
