Art block and period pains... man.... but trying to fight it with shitposting as usual...

Mayo 🔜 Targi Mrocznych Unikatów @lycoart.bsky.social · 15/10/2026

Same on wanting to be a vet! But my kryptonite was fear of needles/injections lmao! Also I'm fine dealing with dead bodies but knowing I can accidental cause pain to a living creature? Noooo 😭

Got a new mold for buttons (oval one yipee!) and did a little test illustration for it to test out the template I made for it. Now I can make pretty cameo-stylized buttons~ #unicorn #furryart

Having a creative block (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ Rather I have internal art needs that are constipating me but I cannot let them win because I really don't wanna spiral into false hope and nostalgia for things that no longer exist. I really don't want the worms to win so I gotta wait it out I guess

Since Atlanta Pride is this weekend, I thought I'd share this commission from @lycoart.bsky.social featuring my partners and I hanging out at the old @atlantaeagle.bsky.social. Even though the location has changed, we're still making memories at the new place.

Furry illustration of my partners and me embracing outside a leather bar in Atlanta.

The puritan "no porn history allowed" mindset of anime-inspired western art is so funny to me cos' you'll read about the most prolific anime artists of Japan and it'll be like "Yeah, she started her career selling hardcore incest doujinshi at Comiket."

If I stumble upon things that are icky to me I just close the damn page and move on. People will be into things that gross you out and that's ok. You don't have to engage with them. Don't like don't read, block and move on 🚬

Stumbled upon an artist on IG who dedicates their time and skills into hating an entire group of people with a specific kink. Making videos, strawman comics etc. Like holy shit people really spend their limited time on earth like that???

When you're reading a very horny and smutty fic but at the end it hits you with a hilarious situation like a hammer and you forget you were reading smut in the first place 😅

In honor of scary media month: what is the first piece of media you remember truly frightening you as a child? Probably this scene from "Felidae". Also a close second would be that scene with the gutted pregnant cat. I was 6yo when I watched this btw 😂

Been quiet with any drawtober art because... I'm actually making an animatic with my OCs!!! And I figured I'd share the finalfinal.wav once I'm done! So I'm cooking but in the shadows >:3c

I don't know if it's a glitch on my part or youtube is fucking around with what to show people but suddenly on PC I can't see my subscription feed and instead it just shows me icons of random recommended channels? I swear I hate this era of recommended content on the internet with a passion!!!

But surprise this doesn't fix shit at all! So I'm not going to enable this behavior as much as I understand where it's coming from. I'd rather have an uncomfortable conversation and clear things up than this avoidant bs 🚬

I had people lashing out at me mid convo, blocking me then unblocking me months later and acting all buddy buddy with me in the comments. And I understand the mechanism behind it. I too once acted like that, out of fear mostly. I didn't want to anger, trigger or upset the other person.

I'm not a person prone to holding grudges for very long BUT if we ever had a conflict or misunderstanding or whatever and you try to resume the relationship and act as if nothing happened I will not be tolerating that shit. We either talk it out or I'm never entertaining your conversations.

Artists are allowed to make fucked up upsetting art. You are allowed to block them if it bothers or triggers you. You are not allowed to demand that transgressive art never exist. Especially when the artists are marginalized or queer and already have society trying to erase them.
