Did you know the LWV’s long-term goal is to abolish the Electoral College? That would require a constitutional amendment. But there’s another path: the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. MN joined in 2023. It needs just 48 more electoral votes to take effect nationwide!

One of the top reasons eligible Minnesotans don’t vote is that they don’t feel informed about their choices. Together, we can make sure every voter has the information they need to make their voice heard. #TrustedElections #Vote411 #LWVMN

The #1 reason given for not voting is "I don't know who's on the ballot." One of the best ways to learn about the candidates is to check out LWV's candidate forums! Find the full list of forums planned for Minnesota at lwvmn.org/2026-candidate-forums.

According to a recent poll conducted by LWVMN and StratSimple, the number one reason eligible voters in Minnesota don’t cast a ballot is because they don’t know the candidates. VOTE411 is one way to break down that barrier and ensure voters have the information they need. VOTE411.org

Facts matter. Minnesota prisons, run by the MN Department of Corrections (DOC), already coordinate with ICE. In response to federal misinformation, the DOC has created a public webpage to set the record straight. Learn the facts: mn.gov/doc/about/ne...
DHS is making up false claims to justify this fear-based ICE operation in our state. They have mis-stated the number of people with ICE detainment requests, claimed that they are catching "illegal criminals" when in reality most of the people they have detained have no criminal record at all, and claimed that Operation Metro Surge was necessary even though the MN DOC has always handed over to ICE anyone in prison who is flagged with an ICE detainer.
