absolute cuties!! you look lovely 🫶🏼

we did decide to start with bly manor 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ the first episode is very mild so it was perfect for dipping their toes into some horror media!

agreed!! one of my fave cereals ever is raisin bran crunch, the oat clusters really add a lot to the cereal!!

yay, added!! and for the graph you gotta go to the pie chart icon (2nd from left, assuming it's the same for you) and select "view last months wrap up"!! but you gotta make sure you put in when you started and finished a book (thankfully i had my bsky posts to go off of for this lmao)

yeah i've heard they weren't as good which is why i haven't been in a rush to watch them but maybe i will this month!! i hope you enjoy midnight mass too it you watch it!! :D

Meme from Over the Garden Wall, a picture of the highway man standing menacingly. Text reads “"im gay"
"'Im straight"
ok?? I'm the Highwayman??! make ends meet?? Just like any man?? work with my hands??”

it's all good!! lance, my husband, uses he/they pronouns ^_^

spooky sylvie 🦇 @luvcore.bsky.social · 11h

yeah the dog scene and all the cats on the beach were rough :(

spooky sylvie 🦇 @luvcore.bsky.social · 11h

i also considered that but they don't do well with animal death or gore so i think midnight mass will have to wait until they're more accustomed to horror

210

i did!! and he's willing to try it but we're gonna start with bly manor since it's a little less scary 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

okay im glad im remembering bly manor correctly as being less scary 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ hill house was sooo creepy, i definitely had some trouble sleeping after watching it the first time 😭 (and the first few rewatches after that too...)

mike flanagan is just so good at making horror in general midnight mass is amazing too and def worth a watch!!!! a little heavy on the monologues so it drags occasionally but overall it's sooo good i haven't watched fall of the house of usher or midnight club yet, i still need to watch those too

yeah i literally just posted that i think we'll watch bly manor first instead!! it's still an amazing show but i remember it being less scary overall

i think we might start with bly manor actually because that's less scary from what i remember

2120

yesss exactly, it's SUCH a beautiful show!! they've basically never watched ANYTHING horror and i really wanna try to get him into it so we could potentially enjoy it together 🥺 i would definitely skip That scene for them 😭 it's legitimately one of the best jumpscares ever though 👀

100

yes that scene fgsjdgsjsjkl and i did too 😭 i'd be worried about giving him a heart attack if he watched it 💀

c'mon babe it's such a good show i promise (just don't pay attention to the background, there's definitely not creepy ghosts lurking everywhere, dw about it <3)

120

i'd probably at least fast forward through That Scene™ with The jumpscare at least 😅

lance describes his fear tolerance as "scooby doo creeps me out sometimes" do we think he'd survive watching the haunting of hill house with me, yes or no

Art of my OC Lottie in a witch hat, black dress with an open boob window (ish, lol) and a ribbon wrapped around the base of the hat. Her hair is pale and her eyes are blue, but the overall hue of the art is blue/purple.

yeah it's really good so far!! i'm actually not a fan of the show (the handmaid's tale, anyway) the first season was pretty good but then it kinda went off the rails and felt like the same plot with the escape baiting every season 😭 probably won't ever bother to watch the testaments either tbh
