Lupin III: Part 1 is getting a 4K Blu-ray release in Japan in 2027! Releasing on January 27th for ¥29,700, the three disc set contains all 23 episodes. The original 35mm film has been maintained, and shaking has been reduced, along with improvement to image quality. store.vap.co.jp/syousai.asp?...

Ditto, it's not for me either!

Here is a comparison of the previous Blu-ray release (left) and the new 4K restoration (right).

Agreed. These standees are part of the 55th anniversary collection, and they are dreadful. No idea how they mixed up the Part 4 slot.

More details can be found below. A nice treat for the 55th anniversary, but personally speaking, I wouldn't need this. The show was made in the 70s, and already looks great on the Discotek DVDs. Could be a cool thing to have on the shelf, though! www.vap.co.jp/lupin_part1_...

SEGA Rally not being in here is CRIMINAL. But the 8-bit SEGA version of Space Harrier was one of the first games I owned, so I had to have it here.

This was difficult to do! I see this going around a lot, currently, and wanted to join in. 😁

I posted that when I was about 3 minutes in, and I'm now 7 minutes in and let me tell you, MANY more audible gasps have happened. Holy shit man, this is nuts. 🫣 Much love.

@superpac.bsky.social Glad you are OK mate. Audibly went oh shit when I heard the news this week. 🙏❤️

111

Looks lovely! 🙌 We have a review in progress already — appreciate the offer to assist, though! ❤️

Love this. The way the music stops and the SFX pop off is incredibly satisfying. I'd definitely pay money for this on mobile or Switch!

Saw this amazing Lupin sign in Little Tokyo today. Turns out it was drawn by one of the employees! The world is beautiful

From the 5-min pilot of "Redline", directed by Takeshi Koike 7 years before the film's release (and not reused in the film). It's still just as rare to see such long proof-of-concepts produced for Japanese animated films projects. Full video >> www.catsuka.com/player/redli...

I don't think it's even out here in the U.K. yet? I thought the trailer looked good.

Lupin Central @lupincentral.com · 27/09/2026

I used to have to go to Scarborough arcades in the U.K. to play this. The graphics were amazing, for the time, I loved how this looked. I remember the yodelling sound it made as you put the coin in — engrained into my brain. 😂

Fowl play is afoot as both Lupin and Zenigata find themselves Walken directly into a trap! Our journey across The Top 50(ish) Episodes of Lupin III: Part II continues as we review Episode 10, “Steal the File M123” (or “ZenigataCon”)! 🔽LINKS BELOW🔽

Case file folder with a screenshot of Inspector Zenigata yelling angrily at another, unimpressed Inspector Zenigata, labeled as "EVIDENCE." Underneath is text that reads "SIDEBURNS & CIGARETTES: The Top 50(ish) Episodes of Lupin III: Part II". On the other side of the folder is a stack of worn out case files with text that reads: "CASE FILE: Episode #10: "Steal the File M123" (or "ZenigataCon"). LISTEN NOW!" with the logos of SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Podbean below it. Behind the folder are two promotional posters of Lupin III: Part II. One features Lupin holding his Walther P-38 and winking, the other features Fujiko with her hand on her hip.

You rock, hope you get many more! 🙏🎉

Yesss man. Can't believe they could afford the Cool Doctor. Frankly embarrassing how much I've listened to you guys over the years. 😂

120

@gavtrdq.bsky.social Gav, does this random Scottish Trainline guy just sound like you, or is that actually you? I thought I'd switched podcasts for a second and it shit me up.

140

I should say I really enjoyed the Ant Stream service for what it was. It's a disappointing end for me.

000

I just uninstalled Ant Stream from my PS5 a few days ago, after using it on and off since it came to the platform. I can't trust what they do with it any more, after all this A.I. stuff. He seems to have dug their grave, and is now buggering off.

100

Also I love the thought of: did it blue screen, and they left out of frustration? Or did they just leave it running, and it errored in their absence. 😂

The more you post about this game the more I want to play it!

110

I like this guy, and I agree with his thoughts here.

Finally, some pieces by Jun Inagawa, who helped create the stores key visuals.

Here is what you will be able to buy with their prices in yen — there's lots on offer!
