2 Yellow browed Warblers caught and ringed today. 509 birds processed in Millcombe with lots of migrants. In addition, 3 Firecrest, Snow Bunting, 2 Pied Flycatcher, Spotted Flycatcher etc

A few days of really great Common passage migrants with 5 Yellow Wag, 22+ Spot Fly, 3 Pied Fly, 30+ Willow Warblers, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, 3 Whinchats, and now something a little rarer - a Rose coloured Starling emerged!

Wader migration has been pretty strong recently with multiple Dunlin, a flock of Ringed Plovers, a few Curlew, singles of Green Sandpiper, Common Sandpipers, Greenshank, Redshanks, and a Whimbrel too. However, today we found a Spotted Redshank, the first since 2020!

Celebrating 20yrs Rat free this year! One of the biggest successes on the island is the seabirds, but for Manx Shearwaters it has been phenomenal. One of our box birds from today, the fact we have 15,000 and they breed successfully was unthinkable 30yrs ago!

The first cloud in a couple of weeks and 18 more new Willow Warblers plus a retrap from 2025 and one from Friday. A scattered number across the plateau so roughly 40 on island so far. Our breeding adult and juvenile Spotted Flycatchers ringed and census found a Sedge Warb in a grass field!
