i consider that kind of thing corruption. in my view, hypno stems from a direct interaction with someone (ex. entrancing you to eat and grow), whereas corruption is broader and covers mental shifts that aren't based on said interaction (ex. cursed amulets, addictive food, a descent into gluttony)
