There’s a difference between being ignored in a social setting (rude) and a person exercising their right to choose who they want to talk to. Yes, it sucks to be ignored. A reply would be nice, BUT, you aren’t OWED anything from others. Pushing that just makes your chances of talking even less.

It’s wild that some people don’t understand: 1. It is not rude that someone didn’t reply to your unsolicited DM request. 2. They may be busy, you aren’t entitled to an immediate or even timely response. 3. If they are ignoring you, you still aren’t entitled to the time of someone you don’t know.
