we live in a world where "humanity is rotten to the core" is a more tolerable idea than "capitalism is kinda busted" but what I love about "capitalism is kinda busted" is realizing every good thing that happens is in spite of capitalism because humans are that committed to doing good things

The author of Kiki's Delivery Service sounds like a delightful person (shocking no one) and she has "thoughts" on AI.

Our world is at a complicated juncture. The voice of AI is loud and seems liable to suck us in. New technologies are sure to evolve at rapidly accelerating paces. I don’t know what the future will bring—it’s all a bit much for an elderly woman of 91.

But I have thoughts. Since the dawn of history, people have turned sounds into words and moved our bodies to acquire language. Bodies and language. The language packed inside a person. I think there’s power in that; I want to cherish it. Is it really okay to entrust everything to machines and abandon our rich culture of language so readily? If we do, humanity will probably lose the capacity to think, stop using our bodies, stop enjoying our imaginations, lose the power to create, and end up bored. Or will we instead aim to scale higher peaks? At 91 years old, I am interested, and I intend to observe from close up as long as I’m alive.

Okay, one last Petra Parker before I move on to other projects I just had to get this one out of my mind, it's too cute Petra is the belle of the ball #petraparker #art #fanart

Petra Parker is in the middle with short brown hair, twin braids on top, she has her hands on her face and is smiling while looking down, red faced embarrassed. She has Spider-Woman themed gloves with Trans flag colourings at the bottom of them. She is surrounded by four rose bouquets, two blue, two red. The bouquets have purple paper.

There are four suitors. Top left: Johnny Storm, he is smirking while blushing, short light blond hair blue eyes. Top right: Flash Thompson, he is looking away while pouting and blushing (not accepted his crush yet), dark blond hair, brown eyes. Bottom left: Black Cat, she is smiling predatory while blushing, white hair, blue eyes, black mask, white fluffy collar, black lipstick. Bottom right: Mary Jane Watson, red hair, red lipstick, green eyes, grey eyeshadow, smirk while angling eyebrows in interest, blushing, freckles.

IT’S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY! ✨ if i could humbly request a share of my art, it would be the best gift ever 💖

a pixel art piece featuring a cloudscape at nighttime. the sky is filled with clouds of various colours: pink, yellow, cyan, blue and dark blue. a half moon is partly covered behind one of the blue clouds, reflecting its light onto them. the black sky is also filled with stars. the scene is meant to evoke a sense of peace, wonder and nostalgia

pixel art featuring a trail going off into the distance. the brown trail goes through a grassy field filled with flowers of various colours (yellow, pink, red and white). in the distance there are some green hills. the blue sky is filled with a giant white cloud, with some light coming from the top left. the text in the middle of the sky reads: “bloom at your own pace”

pixel art of space featuring a blue nebula surrounded by blue stars and a blue planet at the top right. a shooting star is also visible

pixel art featuring a sunset scene. the sun setting on some hills behind a body of water. the water is of a clear blue colour. the sky’s colours are red, purple and dark blue, while the hills are silhouette black. purple clouds make up the skyline

It's really really really important to remember that literally NONE of the creative platforms or tools we use have AI shoved in there for us. They are there to generate numbers for shareholders. You are not crazy for not adopting them. The creative world has not moved to AI. Hold the fucking line.
