He thinks it makes him look wise lol #Yoshi #SuperMario #Nintendo

A drawing of two green Yoshi characters, The Village Leader (aka Classic Yoshi) from Paper Mario and (Modern) Yoshi.

Top part: The Village Leader has that sleepy/relaxed expression on his face that the original Yoshi design would have in the official canon. Modern Yoshi looks at the Village Leader with a red exclamation point above his head. A faded official 2D artwork of the classic Yoshi design appears next to the Village Leader while A faded official 2D promotional art of the 2017 Yoshi design appears next to Modern Yoshi (to show how similar their expressions are to their respective official artwork).

Bottom part: Modern Yoshi then imitates the Village Leader by making the same sleepy expression. A thought bubble of an apple with hearts appears near the Village Leader, to show that he's daydreaming of apples. A faded official 2D promotional of the 2019 Yoshi design appears next to Modern Yoshi (to show that Modern Yoshi has adapted a few of Classic Yoshi's design traits).

haha yoshi headcanon go brrr #Yoshi #SuperMario #Nintendo

The young adult (classic) Yoshi telling his adventures to Baby (modern) Yoshi.

Mario/Yoshi games references that take place in the past:

The babies (Yoshi's Island DS)
Baby Mario with the balloons (Touch & Go)
Stork (Yoshi's Island)
Mr. Pipe (Yoshi's New Island)
Dream Gems (Yoshi Crafted World)
Wonder Wool (Yoshi Wooly World)
Yoob (Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time)

Modern Yoshi, who is now a young adult, telling his adventures and events to the Classic Yoshi, who is now an elder (aka the Village Leader/Chief Yoshi).

Mario/Yoshi game references that take place in the present (with the exception of the Yoshi Story heart fruit which takes place in the past):

Cape Feather (Super Mario World)
Boshi (SMRPG)
Dice Block (Mario Party series)
Spiny Blue Shell (Mario Kart Series)
Baseball (Mario Sports spin-offs)
Plumber hats (SM64DS)
Egglings (Yoshi Topsy Turvy)
Panel Block (Tetris Attack)
Sonic (Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games)
Yoshi's Cookies
Smash Ball (Super Smash Bros series)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 fruits
Rabbids (Mario & Rabbids)
Super Scope (Yoshi's Safari)
Wonder Flower (Super Mario Bros Wonder)

Here we see the two main green Yoshi characters during the past (Modern Yoshi as a baby and Classic/Chief Yoshi as a young adult).

Baby Yoshi showing his excitement about becoming an adult Yoshi in the future to the Chief Yoshi, telling him that he (Baby Yoshi) will grow up to become a big, strong, and cool Yoshi. The Chief Yoshi looks at Baby Yoshi with an amused smirk.

Baby Yoshi's speech bubble has a picture of what he imagined his future/adult self would look like. The "Future Yoshi" basically the classic Yoshi design, basically similar to Chief Yoshi. He is flexing his left arm and has a confident expression. Orange texts surround him saying "BIG", "STRONG", and "COOL" while a small brown text saying "Future ME!"

For texts outside of the speech bubble, Baby Yoshi has a text saying "Toddler" pointing at him while the Chief Yoshi has the "Adult" text near him. The word "PAST" is seen on the top right corner.

Here we see the two main green Yoshi characters again, but in the present era (Modern Yoshi is now an adult while Classic/Chief Yoshi is an elder).

Yoshi is staring off into space with a disappointed/annoyed expression as he questioned himself, "Why does it feel like I haven't hit puberty yet..?"

Chief Yoshi lay his hand on Yoshi's shoulder to comfort him. The Chief has an uneasy grin and a nervous sweat drop on his cheek.

Yoshi has a text saying "Adult" pointing at him while the Chief Yoshi has the "Elder" text near him. The word "PRESENT" is seen on the top left corner of this drawing.

Happy 20th anniversary, Nintendo DS!🌟 I did Baby Mario and Yoshi, who represent Yoshi's Island DS and Super Mario 64 DS, respectively!

A cel shaded drawing of Yoshi and Baby Mario for the Nintendo DS's 20th anniversary art collab.

Yoshi himself represents his role in Super Mario 64 DS while Baby Mario represents his role in Yoshi's Island DS (and Yoshi Touch & Go).
