A way to understand anti-trans anti-feminism is if a small group of mothers made fear and hatred of adoptive mothers or those that conceived with IVF like a central part of our politics and their own personality. Just fearful ragebait about "fake" mothers stealing all the diapers for "real" moms.

What's novel here is that transphobia specifically has somehow gained a protected status that it did not historically have and that most forms of anti-rights ideology do not have, directly because of the current moral panic and confusion around protection of beliefs in the UK.

GC groups have widely allied themselves with right wing groups with a long streak of racist tendencies, they've engaged in transmisogynoir towards figures like Munroe Bergdorf. These are consequences of groups who's premise is not that rights are indivisible, but that rights are in conflict.

SEEN networks are a new anti trans activist phenomenon, working in media /, policing, and the civil service. They function as a kind of shadow trade union specifically for political agitation against trans inclusion in the workplace (posing as protecting Gender Critical beliefs).

I’m fairly torn up over McBride myself. I think what upsets me so much about her reaction is that it signals to both moderate Rs and Dems that this is a reasonable compromise, and could be seen as “the solution” to trans bathroom issues in schools by Dems.
