I can't resist a batt/ support spinning combo, you get to spend quality time with the blend! Love the colours in this cashmerino silk batt from @ixchelbunny.bsky.social , it's spinning up beautifully. #handspinning

I rarely use yellow, but just in time for #ShowMeYourKnits yellow theme i finished this coffee cup cosy using some #handspun yarn. I like these little projects for using up scraps, and keeping a memento of my favorite spins.
A gently striped yellow and gray knitted sleeve with texture around a beige pottery coffee cup, testing on a warm brown timber rail with green foliage in the background. Pattern is winter field cup cosy on ravelry. Stitches are under tension with the negative ease for a snug fit. Small cup sleeve project still on the metal circular needles. You can see the varying color (gray and yellow blends) and texture of the two-ply handspun yarn. Close up on a textured gray backgroundA collection of coffee cup sleeves using different yarns and patterns, the yellow one is on top, in the middle is a gray and neon one, and at the bottom is a sleeve gently felted with use, in fall shades of brown and deep green

Sharing a new finished spin - 250 yards from just 2 oz, spun from the fold on a flock of support spindles, using the soft and squishable tundra blend from @ixchelbunny.bsky.social #handspinning #handspun #spindlespinning
A gently twisted hank of finished handspun yarn on a blue background. Yarn is a two ply in shades of green and brown, with some thick parts and thin parts. The finished yarn stretched out on a niddy-noddy, showing the full color range of the fractal spin. Pops of neon green softened by forest green and warm brownsPlying in progress - a close up of a two ply yarn cop built up on a spindle, beside a plying ball and a yellow painted dish with cat ears as a support bowl

Getting close to finishing up this spin on my small collection of support spindles. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all plies up, it's so soft! Fiber from @ixchelbunny.bsky.social #spindlespinning
4 glossy timber support spindles in a range of shapes and colors, full of single spun yarn in shades of brown and green, beside a green patterned ceramic spinning bowl.
Fiber is luxurious tundra blend from ixchelbunny, spindles are silly salmon and the spindle shop makes.

I have a new finished project for this week's #showmeyourknits theme of lace, the simple yet striking "beautiful cobweb" by Susan Ashcroft. Knit using a #handspun Wensleydale gradient dyed by @ixchelbunny.bsky.social . I love to see the blocking process, so I'm sharing those pics too!
A small crescent lace shawl in gradient shades of cream, pink, purple, and gray curled loosely on a table A crumpled crescent lace shawl in gradient shades of cream, pink, purple, and gray before blocking, you can't see any lace yetA small crescent lace shawl pinned out on blocking mats and wires in gradient shades of cream, pink, purple, and gray. The same shawl after blocking, with the wires removed. You can see the lace bit it isn't stretched taut, it's curling a little at the edges.

I love this finished spindle spin so much! It was the "gothic rainbow" merino silk blend from @ixchelbunny.bsky.social. There's 260 yards spun as a single ply to preserve the rainbow color runs. It's light as a feather and so soft and shiny. #handspun #handspinning #spindlespinning
A pile of soft shiny handspun singles in a skein, colours like an oil slick.5 turtles from a spindle, with long rainbow color repeats. The last one is still on a timber cross-arm spindle.A close-up of the rainbow aran-weight single yarn twisted up into a skein

I have more, but the WIPS i have handy for this week's ##showmeyourknits are the ones I'm actually making good progress on! Just a toe to finish on the sock, and working through my #handspun gradient on the crescent shawl 🧶. It's Wensleydale from @ixchelbunny.bsky.social

I find that makes a world of difference in my spins - they can look pretty twisty when i take them off the tension but then turn out great. Hopefully most of those twists have relaxed after a good bath!

We'll see if that becomes my fallback plan! Thanks for the tips 😀

Support spins take me a while, so I like to pick the special braids from my stash. This is the softest blend from @ixchelbunny.bsky.social called Tundra, with cashmere, angora, and quivut. I'm attempting to spin from the fold for the first time and it's a bit challenging right now #handspinning

Terrible indecisiveness when starting a project - what is the *most* perfect yarn/gauge/pattern/size combo? I need to just remind myself I can always frog and start over 😀

For the purple theme of #showmeyourknits this week I have this little scarf/shawl in a purple handspun, knit with lacey mohair contrast. The patten is Ziggy from Leila Raven. It was a fun and fast knit. 🧶 #knitting #handspun

For this week's DK theme, I have a Vodka Lemonade on the needles in DK merino. It's flying along now I've made some size and shaping decisions. (The lifelines are in case I change my mind on those!) 🧶 Pattern by @babycocktails.bsky.social #showmeyourknits #knitsky
A partially knitted black cardigan - top down with raglan sleeves and seed stitch collar - laying on a table beside a colorful knitting bag. White thread lifelines are placed at the armpit divide just in case.

First post - just getting my feet wet on the platform 🙂 I keep stopping to admire the colors as they spin up in this stunning gothic rainbow blend from @ixchelbunny.bsky.social It's going to be my first singles yarn so it's a heavier weight than I would usually do. #handspinning
