People these days don't understand that the protagonist doesn't gotta be someone you're rooting for. They can be a bad person, or just someone who makes some personally objectionable decisions. They just gotta be interesting.

I could be wrong, but I'm coping: He doesn't specifically say generative AI, and only talks about it in reference to his modelling process - not his drawing. there's a chance he's referring to non-gen AI tools for asset placement & organisation. (Snippet from earlier in the same article)

Also this guy was a major antagonist for most of the part. CSM was always a deconstruction of battle shonen and how being a genre protag would suck ass. It feels like fujimoto was venting some frustration when he turned the ppl who just want it to be a normal shonen into the worst fucking guy ever

iirc he did at one point say he wanted to bring rail into the bee network but that it'd be difficult because of the lines that leave gm meaning he wouldn't have the power but uhm if this happens yeah

I watched I Saw the TV Glow with some trans friends when it was relatively new and while I didn't have quite the visceral response that they did it was still a very affecting experience and one I'm glad I was able to share with them.

Or like, a tactics RPG. You could do plenty of shenanigans with height variation during encounters and possibly even having skills that alter the height of the terrain in an area. Maybe FFT or Tactics Ogre already do these things with isometric perspectives so even then HD2D isnt really necessary

This is why I think they should remake Lufia 2 with it. If they're going to just keep doing remakes and not original games they should at least remake the game that already has some vaguely height-based puzzles that would therefore be enhanced by the perspective change
