Pretty ladies

Classy, sophisticated and beautiful but as you say not really 'normal' as there is an underlying vibe that simply burns through here...wonderful

This is wonderful. There are lots of art nudes on tables, 'apple boxes' etc. They are all linear. The additional curves of the chest really add to your wonderful curves.

I love images that use lighting to show all the wonderful curves and features. With posing and lighting you can make people look skinner/fatter than they really are. That's called art!

It's a fun technique and very effective when used selectively. Wonderfully well used here. This is a very sensual and engaging image.

Still looking for my glasses.....can't see anything without them...perhaps that's something that you did not know about me...🤭

A lovely pose and vibe caught in beautiful light. I need to go and get my computer glasses to figure out the secret clues here.....

Beautiful image. Something so special about window nooks. The combination of soft window light and constraints of the space makes for great poses. The arched back is a nice compliment to the confined space/tension on the right. Your flowing hair provides a path out of the 'box' and an invitation in

Many assumptions about language other than 'American English'. I've been to Mexico and seen locals surprised that my Spanish friends spoke such good Spanish. I have seen presidents unaware that they speak German in Switzerland and yes I've heard an American ask what language they speak in England.

Wonderful pose and light to reveal your figure.

Exactly! Perfect current example is we now have the Speaker of the House thinking that he understands the Bible better than the Pope.....

Well humble noble work takes place in the shadows so it's true that much of it goes unnoticed. That said there does seem to be a lot of 'Christians' who ardently support clearly unChristian activities. There is no law to tell you to 'love thy neighbor' but if you don't then don't wear the label

A large swath of people in this country self label themselves as 'Christian'. Based on their actions, views and beliefs that is not a label that I would use for them......

Interestingly for July 1976 (The US bicentennial edition!). They had Deborah Borkman as the centerfold. She is of Japanese/Swedish decent. So they managed break about of the mold a bit. Hair is still blonde!

I agree about the style. Also the vast majority of the magazine was actually real articles. March 1978 features Ralph Nadar, Gore Vidal and Bob Dylan

I decided to increase my sample size for. better statistics. In 1977 12/12 Caucasian. Same as 1978 with respect to blonde/bush/breasts. Obviously a lot of '70s hair'.

Artistically there is a lot to be said for taking inspiration from former genres. It's interesting to review the whole of 1978. 11/12 Playmates were caucasian. None Asian. Vast majority of them are blonde but not naturally so. Bush was definitely in style along with natural breasts.

More directional lighting with deep shadows definitely helps show an athletic sculpted physique. So I understand your choice of art nude style.

luminositycurves.bsky.social @luminositycurves.bsky.social · 04/02/2026
Ah yes! Very much 'inspired' not copied. Many of the same elements in the pose. Both Karen and yourself have exquisite figures and this pose works so well for both of you. Full on glamour lighting and direct eye contact for Karen. Deep shadows with no eye engagement suites your art nude style.👏🙌👏

So according to the definition not strictly a pose 'assume a particular attitude or position in order to be photographed, painted, or drawn' However it was a position that spontaneously called out to be photographed. So perhaps 'natural pose' would be a better term? Definitely lovely

It's the backlighting that does it. It brings the eye to your own silhouette. With other light it may not work so well.

This owl be a stunning image just as a landscape but it definitely gets further elevated with your (and the angel wings). This is one of the few images with angel wings that actually works to my taste.

Unless someone says they go by 'xyz' it's prudent to just use their name until told otherwise! 😁

I think it works really well for the 'nudes in nature'. The signature look of foliage in IR never gets old for me.

We have all probably said something or called someone something that they did not like. If they don't say anything then we might do it again. If they do say something then the decent thing to do is apologize and not do it again. 'Persuading them' to like it is never going to end well....

Good question and really hard to know as the experiment has already been perturbed because I do know more about you from what you have shared. I would think that you are very beautiful and stylish if I met you like this. If you did not want me to know I would not. If you were open then I might.

The mirror adds additional angles and perspectives. It's just a lot of work to keep the lights and photographer out of the image. Perfectly executed here.👏🙌👏

My absolute favorites for portraits are the 105mm f2.0 DC AF and 85mm f1.4 AF. They work and feel great as MF or AF on film and digital bodies. They are both sharp at all apertures but they have soul in abundance with their beautiful bokeh and the way they naturally isolate a subject.

luminositycurves.bsky.social @luminositycurves.bsky.social · 19/01/2026
I have a 'plastic' 50mm f1.4 AF lens and an 'AI'd' 50mm f1.4 that is 'all metal'. At f1.4 the plastic lens is sharper. At all other apertures and in all other regards the Older lens has more soul and it certainly feels a lot nicer on my F3 than the plastic lens. Love the look of that lens with film.

Yes exactly. There is really good value on anything F mount these days. I love my older Nikon Glass for use on manual film cameras through to D850

Pricing on Nikon DSLRs and lenses is really good for what you get. Absolutely agree on the capabilities of these cameras.
100
luminositycurves.bsky.social @luminositycurves.bsky.social · 18/01/2026
Since you do not have filters on the lens and it's a DSLR I assume you can focus and compose as normal. Do you make a correction for where the IR light focuses vs visible light?

luminositycurves.bsky.social @luminositycurves.bsky.social · 18/01/2026
Used pricing on D800s seems pretty low these days.I might be tempted!

Is your camera modified to let all wavelengths through and you use a red filter or is the camera modified with a filter that only lets through IR wavelengths?

Art stimulates the imagination which is a good thing. Folks should either keep their imaginations to themselves or share them respectfully. I don't doubt that it is annoying and tedious. Pleas just bear in mind that the 'silent majority' who enjoy these posts would like to still see them.

Lovely use of 'found light'. Wonderful choice of attire and pose to use that light to accentuate your gorgeous figure. Kudos to both the model and photographer! 😉

This is a wonderful image. The window light provides for soft but directional rendering of jessica's curves. Her pelvic bones are captured in a very sensual way. That pose is in the chair is provocative and the whole scene erotic in an artful fashion.
