At this point McLaren has been poor operationally through two team principal regimes, I don't think GP is the bandaid to fix this team anymore. The poor operations are clearly just endemic, and I doubt one guy will magically change that

I've noticed there's an incredible amount of F1 fans who think teams 100% know for certain which strategy is the winning one and only ever split strategies to favour a certain driver. They don't, FP long runs are usually less than half of an actual stint length.

As a closing thought: Russell is totally, completely cooked. I know it seems like an obvious thing to say but he really, really should've won this, and there really, really should've been no reason for him to even end up fighting Verstappen and Antonelli in the first stint.
