Fun Fact! Tidam takes after his dad in many ways. It's part of why Yindi had such a difficulty raising him, and mostly left him to his own devices. The Warrior of Light is a free spirit, brimming with curiosity and wanderlust. Travel was imprinted on his soul in the past, and his flesh today!

Whilst I am talking about Tidam's mother, perhaps we should also speak about his father, Yannathan. He's such a mysterious figure haunting Tidam's narrative, but the last time Tide saw his dad, he was a toddler.

A gpose of Yannathan, a guardian wanderer of Meracydia's wastelands. This photo captures him in his typical state of affairs, taking care of some abomination amidst the wastes. This would've been taken during ARR making him around 34-35 summers old. He would often painting his face with a bright yellow color that symbolized his roaming Kin.

A close up of Yannathan's face. He often had his messy waves pulled back into into a tight ponytail. When he was younger he only had one scar on his upper lip, with the majority falling somewhere on his body. This photo would've also been taking with him in his mid thirties during ARR.

A gpose of Yannathan more recently, as of Evercold Yannathan has been making his way back to the Yiramiilan tribal lands, of which he is an outsider who shouldn't know such locations. He left around 20 years ago in the hopes of fulfilling his duties to his own kin and beliefs. With those duties now squared away, he can return to the woman he loves, and his now fully grown son. (Yes, he was very heavily inspired by Odysseus.)

Fun Fact, The small bits of green in Tidam's eyes come from his mother. It's one of the very few features of hers' that he possesses. She likes to call Tidam a clone of his father.

Let us take a moment to appreciate Tidam's mother, Yindi. I do not take enough photos of her, it must be rectified.

A gpose of Yindi, Chieftainess of the Yiramiilan Tribe of Meracydia. Though the photo does not reflect the cultural aesthetic of their home, Yindi wears a frilly, soft white dress. Her face is adorned in gold markings, makeup and piercings as she holds a basket of various fruits. The Mark of the Chieftain is on her forehead. This photo would've been taken during ARR, as such she is on the younger side at about 36 summers old.

A close up of Yindi's face. She often wears her hair in well kept locs, painting golden flecks on her face and staining her lips a deep indigo color to signify her role amongst her people. The Mark of the Chieftain is the outline of a bright four pointed star that takes up the center of the forehead, ending at the hairline and just below and between the eyebrows. Yindi would still be around her mid to late thirties at this point, also during ARR.

A gpose of Yindi more recently, as of Evercold Yindi will be in her early 40s. Thought she has given the role of chieftain to her son, Tidam (The Warrior of Light), she still wears a mark denoting her role as an advisor and guardian of the tribe, The star is completely filled in, it is smaller, and the bottom point falls far lower on the face.

Tidam’s main job is technically non canonical to XIV. Engraved upon a malachite soul stone he craved himself. Titled Arsenal (ARS) it is a combination of every job allowing anyone with potential enough Aether to wield any job’s abilities in quick swap scenarios. Kinda like Noctis from XV.

The Third Death: Memory. The third and final death mankind must face, is the death of the final memory of themselves. For once we are forgotten, did we truly live? None could say. They could propose the idea, but what proof of a person's existence is there when no one can speak to it?

The Second Death: Mortality. La Pietà della Mortalità, the pity of mortality. Our spirit is to return whence it came, leaving behind our flesh for those who are left to remember us. Often times, this will be those who come after... but some rare times, a parent must face the loss of their progeny.
