First bit of contract news for the summer with #dcfc announcing Matt Clarke has signed a three year deal. A huge reason behind Derby's eventual survival, with great defensive awareness and some proper ball-playing ability. Great start to a backline rebuild.

A good half for #dcfc. Clinical from set-pieces, tidy enough on the ball. Great save from Vickers, but otherwise pretty secure at the back. Need to win this now heading into the final two games.

Don't think #dcfc deserved to lose that. Didn't start quick enough then the ball just didn't fall for them in the second half. Big defeat but three games still left. Worried that two of those are away games. Let's see how it shakes out.

Not the most watchable half of football and one with very few chances for #dcfc. Two teams who are looking to do similar things, but Luton are doing it just that bit better. Derby midfield not in it at all, with Luton playing round the edges, so Adams and Armstrong aren't in it at all.

#dcfc spent the third-lowest amount on agent fees in the past year (February 2024-2025) in the Championship with just over £707k. Only Oxford (£572k) and Portsmouth (£696k) spent less over the past two transfer windows.

Odd half for #dcfc Huge save from Zetterstrom from the penalty spot to keep the side level. They haven't been great on the ball, but in open play it feels like the better chances have fallen to Derby. Huge second half coming up, just a question of which team is going to take the chance that falls.

My only concern for #dcfc so far is everything is working out perfectly They continue to take the lead in games, taking their very few chances and being clinical. 9 goals from an xG of just over 4 Won't mean a thing if they stay up, but I do wonder if it can be sustained over the next 7 games

Four on the bounce for #dcfc. Wow. Who saw that coming? Two big goals at important times after the break, taking the initiative and not looking like conceding at all. Out of the bottom three. Seven to go. John Eustace is working miracles, but the job isn't done yet.

Not a great half for #dcfc, hardly helped by the stop-start nature of the game, impacted by injuries and the constant fouls While quick attacks are nice, it does feel like Derby could do with just a bit of possession at times to get some control of the game Feels like one goal wins it as it stands

Wow. Three wins in a week, topped off in that fashion. Really top 30-40 minutes at the start, winning everything in both boxes aerially. Looked shaken after the goals and momentum shifted. Done enough in the end to stay solid, but a winner like that is huge. Now some internationals and a break.

I think adding Matt Clarke has helped #dcfc with this so much too. His comfort on the ball has eliminated the need to have a deeper midfielder receive the ball, they can all face forward a bit more and receive it in better areas.

The most impressive early observation of John Eustace at #dcfc for me is his use of Ebou Adams. Shifted him to a more advanced right position, where he's used his energy well and hasn't had to be involved in the build-up phase, which is one of his weaker aspects. When he ticks, Derby tick.

Callum Elder and Kane Wilson are fantastic outlets on the wing for #dcfc, both were fantastic. Harrison Armstrong, amazing. Top profile off-the-ball, really snaps into tackles and safe on the ball. Really nice stuff.

It'll be a constant cycle for Eustace at #dcfc of finding the right balance. The issue is playing more conservatively and losing annoys people regarding the style, opening up means a battering and the need to retreat. Stuck between a rock and a hard place.

John Eustace's first job will be finding some forward cohesion at #dcfc. This side looks like they could play for hours and not score. In good news, the backline looks a little more shored up. The run of defeats has dried up but the confidence isn't back at all. Need a win soon.

One thing you can't knock about David Clowes is he knows who he wants and he gets them at #dcfc. That's now two managers "above" the club in the pecking order at the time that he's managed to pinch. Let's hope Eustace can deal with survival this season then push on from there.

Well then, John Eustace to #dcfc... He's been involved in two relegation scraps in Championship management and has steered clubs out of that crisis before progressing them even further. Happy to mix it about style wise and he has a calm head. The former player aspect helps as well. I like it.

Whoever replaces Warne at #dcfc must stick to either a four of a five in the backline. I feel the flipping between the two has been costly in recruiting top wingers and full-backs, so having a more outlined style would be ideal.

The Paul Warne era at #dcfc has come to a close. Can't say I'm particularly happy with how the end has been handled, making him do media duties for a game he isn't now in charge of. Lots of questions to be answered about how it has come to this.

A poor transfer window overall for #dcfc but feel as though some are going over the top about it. Put your phone down, stop screaming into the void about deals and move on. It is what it is, now it's time to battle for survival and readdress the failures at a more appropriate time.

That from #dcfc today wasn't down to Paul Warne. Players across the pitch let themselves down with a lack of quality on the ball. Patched up back line didn't help and the midfield were never receiving the ball centrally. Got to find some form soon, but that wasn't down to the manager today, for me.

Eiran Cashin has been an amazing servant for #dcfc and he deserves his chance with Brighton. Could've left like otherz but stuck it out, got the team promoted and now looks set to leave with a hefty fee involved which can now be reinvested. It can't be understated just how much he has given the club

Matt Clarke the next through the door for #dcfc. A 5-month permanent deal may seem odd from the outside, but keeps loan slots free for other moves and may include other extension clauses inserted. A capable defender and passer who knows the club, the expectations and can make an impact immediately.

The more I think about the recruitment at #dcfc, the more I think a lack of clear identity has harmed it, mostly importantly in the wide areas. Got full-backs who aren't quite full-backs or wing-backs. Haven't invested fully in wingers, but those there have either not played or been at wing-back.

Really poor defeat for #dcfc. Absolutely gifted those three points to a relegation rival with poor defending. Midfield not robust enough and wingers look poor at best. Salvesen the only bright spark for me. Games left to play but patience is running out.
