You’ll have to let me know what you think - hopefully you enjoy it!

AC: Shadows looks ridiculously good. Anvil has had a big glow up. Also image quality using the DLSS4 override is phenomenal.

Starting the day with a flat white.

One thing I really enjoy about Avowed (amongst many) is that you’ll be on a seemingly unimportant side quest and then just stumble upon vistas like this..

Some cool deliveries today - a certain treasure hunter (what an awesome figure) and a Balrog LOTR resin space bar to finish my keyboard. “Sic Parvis Magna”.

No talk needed - just look at how delicious it looks. Also had palpitations for NG4 and 2 remake.

This is unbelievably disappointing. I get the rationale for cancellation but still - what a massive bummer.

Tuesday tends to be a WFH day for me which means it is cappuccino time.

Step 1 of the new coffee setup begins with a new standalone grinder. Just need the espresso machine to arrive this week alongside a few workflow tools and we are good to go ☕️

Get it on Steam. It runs fairly well on the Deck and it’s not complex mechanically so it’s fine for that. I played it all on Deck. It’s one of the best games of the year - absolutely astonishing story!

Setup looking particularly good tonight.

Luke @lukesteele90.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

Yeah it looks really good - definitely worth trying!

Luke @lukesteele90.bsky.social · 10/12/2024

Yeah - I’ve paused it because I’m trying to finish Veilguard but played around an hour with the PT on max and all other settings etc. It’s an incredible looking game to be fair - one of the best this year especially with PT. The trailers really muddied how good looking it actually is!

I’m genuinely surprised how much I love Veilguard. 27 hours in and just really vibing with it. It’s not in the realm of the likes of KOTOR/ME1/ME2 but it’s much closer to a return to form.

Coffee at the ready plus Veilguard and football. Happy Sunday.

A few figure pick-ups recently - Hono’s classic Wolverine, HT Obi-Wan (from the series), Deadpool (from DvW, inc Babypool and Peggy) and InArt’s *incredible* Aragon.

It does it every time but after the first time it is much quicker and it’s basically just “remembering” the compilation.

Hey, lengthy shader pre-comp is a good thing!

110

Luke @lukesteele90.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Stalker 2 sure is a beautiful game.

010

Luke @lukesteele90.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

True - it’s just a battle for second place for everything else.

020

Luke @lukesteele90.bsky.social · 18/11/2024

Yeah - I think the debate around nominations etc is always interesting (when approached in the right way) but ultimately it’s all ancillary to your own judgment as to what you think the best game of the year is. No point getting worked up about it.

Starting the birthday off right.

Easily the best day one console experience I've ever had. I booted up Halo: CE knowing basically nothing about it and it blew my mind.

Luke @lukesteele90.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

It’s a great looking game! Really enjoying it as well.

Luke @lukesteele90.bsky.social · 10/11/2024

Veilguard is an absurdly good looking game (on PC especially). Really enjoying it.

Saturday night going well.

Luke @lukesteele90.bsky.social · 09/11/2024

I wanted to come in with a bang 😂

010

Luke @lukesteele90.bsky.social · 09/11/2024

Yeah 3 is definitely third in ranking - toss up between CE and 2 for most people as I think it depends on how much the nostalgia hits for each of those. For me, CE was the first Xbox game I played so it’s very special as a result.

110

Luke @lukesteele90.bsky.social · 09/11/2024

:/ Alright - Halo:CE is better though (that’s my genuine take).
