I spotted the @medievil.wiki post about the MediEvil PC recomp and decided to play through a few levels. If it is truly AI free, I support that. It plays really well and looks great in widescreen! #MediEvilRecomp #MediEvil #PCGaming #RetroGaming #SpookySeason

The first beta release of the MediEvil Recomp project is out now! This lets you play MediEvil with widescreen support, scaling aspect ratio, increased draw distance/render distance, increase FPS support, PGXP, Better Terrain, Frame Interpolation, and other things all natively running on your PC.

My "origin" game: RE4 on PS2. The GOAT. I played the PS1 games but I think I was mature enough to truly enjoy this one. It's so personal/important to me I don't even want to play the remake.

#A24 deep-dive. Mother Mary is drenched in metaphor and vivid imagery. Loved it. I found there to be diminishing returns with the X trilogy. The first entry is a fun, postmodern Texas Chainsaw adjacent exploitation film. My profile - letterboxd.com/lob42195/ #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched

(I binged through shark/piranha horror films recently. I have a list!) Friday the 13th Part 1 gets things going, not great. Part 2 is a good slasher, iconic final girl shot. Part 3 is more visually engaging, campy fun 80s sensibility. letterboxd.com/lob42195/ #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched

Fun fact: you can still install the Windows 95 version of The Ultimate Doom on Windows 11. (If you get a DPLAY.dll system error there is a link to a fix in the video description) #Doom #Windows95 #Windows11 #PhysicalMedia #CD #FPSGames #RetroGaming

I'm watching through natural horror films. Piranha 1978 is fun, the Italian exploitation sequel is not great. Rogue is forgettable if you've seen other croc films My lists etc - letterboxd.com/lob42195/ #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched

I uploaded a longer gameplay of this Doom II mod. #ProjectBrutality is a fork of Brutal Doom (another mod) that features more gore, enemy variants and dynamic movement reminiscent of Doom 2016! #Doom #DoomMods #FPSGames #PCGaming #RetroGaming

The Book of Rynn's first story production is coming along great but I've been bothered by map load times for months because of compression, collision handling, etc. Took a step back and cut this time by more than half and that makes me really happy! #jrpg #nesdev #retrogames #gamedev #indiegames

Diving into another TES game! Redguard has performance issues (and I encountered some of them) but the world is just as inviting as the other games. I have a list of things to do in Part 2, so stay tuned! #TheElderScrolls #PCGaming #RetroGaming #RPG #Fantasy

Part 2 of my Resident Evil playthrough! It took me a while to re-familiarise myself with the mansion layout and the inventory management. Things FINALLY get going once I encounter Yawn! #ResidentEvil #SurvivalHorror #Steam #PCGaming #RetroGaming #90s #Horror
