I'm proud to stand with DSA in the fight for a government that reflects working people over the billionaire class.

Statement Of Support

As a proud DSA-endorsed Democrat, I am deeply disappointed in Rep. Gabe Vasquez's vote yesterday. It's unfortunate that Rep. Vasquez has chosen to side with Republicans in a misinformation campaign against other Democrats and progressives fighting to create more equitable conditions for working class Americans, especially when the condemnation of the DSA was tied to the egregious SAVE Act, which will disenfranchise millions of voters.

The Democratic Party has an opportunity to show voters who they are in this election. By aligning with DSA, Democrats can be the party we have always claimed to be - one that represents working people over billionaires. But if we continue this pointless in-fighting and capitulation to Republican fear-mongering, we only prove that the Democrats are as out-of-touch as their critics say and care more about their corporate campaign donors than the issues facing real Americans.
