Sick kids means more tolerance for screen time. My 4 year old has a one consistent request: the “Gophers snow football game”. He watches it with the same excitement as game day - assuming the ibprofin’s effectiveness hasn’t worn off.

First, thanks for listening GGR and for the kind words! The intro song is "Fanfare '78 - Pageant" according to wikipedia. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Univers... The song is played while the band walk out the block M prior to the Minnesota Rouser.

Luke Buer @lukebuer.bsky.social · 05/06/2025

This is probably the most excited I’ve been for an NBA finals on a pure basketball basis in recent memory. Yes I hate the Zombie Sonics, but I still love to watch great basketball.

Luke Buer @lukebuer.bsky.social · 23/05/2025

Officials want to trust and stand by their call. Fair. I struggle more with what feels like an inconsistent application of "marginal contact" based on the outcome. Last night, Lu Dort lost control after what appears to be marginal contact. Foul. Ant converts, no foul. Should the outcome matter?

My toddler is not particularly political active yet, but when he asks why there aren’t new episodes of his beloved show on show on PBS kids, I suspect this could activate him.

Luke Buer @lukebuer.bsky.social · 29/04/2025

Matchups always matter in the NBA, but especially in the playoffs so as you point out it could be that. All season the wolves have rode the roller coaster of inconsistency until Randle came back from injury and still then had blip here and there but many justified the weak schedule. So 🤷 it is.

110

Luke Buer @lukebuer.bsky.social · 29/04/2025

But this was also lineup with the worst efficiency all season long for the Wolves. Diabolical.

Thanks for point this out this distinction, it is a good reminder. This goes beyond sports too. Beat writers do very different things that columnists and talking heads. Referring to them all as "the media" isn't fair or accurate.

#Timberwolves Bluesky, there is an easy shorthand for Terrance Shannon Jr. in emoji form: 🙃 Let me provide you an example. 🙃 played well in his 29 minutes last night with 25 points on 9/15 FG, added 5 Rebounds and 2 Assists. DDV and 🙃 were also a very good pairing against the Lakers.

Really appreciate you highlighting Dawson as a defender. Appreciation for his positional defense and ability to switch one through five is just not discussed enough for a guy who is legit 6'-11".

IMO DTA praise is reflection of the members who are the backbone of what makes DTA a difference maker. Early partners like Gray Duck, Nepiss, Team Dinkytown, SotaStick Co, 7th Ave Pizza, ThousandHills, Folly Coffee, etc. deserve massive amounts of credit too.
