Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I’ve finally started playing my guitar again. Got some new strings and I don’t know why since I’ve done it so many times, but changing strings feels extremely stressful every single time. It always feels like I’m doing it wrong somehow. 110
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 05/10/2026There’s something I’ve always found deeply unsettling about descending vast distances. It’s part of why the area of Silent Hill 2 that is scariest to me is the Historical society/toulca prison area where James just keeps going deeper and deeper underground. 110
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Baby Birch by Joanna Newsom is probably one of the best songs of all time. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 04/10/2026More control resonant screenshots because this game is so pretty 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I finally own real music. (Finally found it for a reasonable price on EBay.) 110
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Saw Primetime, that shit rocked. Up there with the Lighthouse as the best Pattinson performance. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Relistened to Swans’ The Seer for the first time in a while, god damn what an album. Maybe the most atmospheric record ever made. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 30/09/2026The Contessa (and her two areas of the game) in Sly 2 definitely shaped my love of gothic horror 010
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Control Resonant finally lets me live the dream of being a soggy man in a crop-top 000

Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Been loving control resonant so far. Fixes a lot of the biggest gameplay gripes I had with the original and as per usual Remedy is absolutely killing it on the art direction department. 010
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I was going to North Bend yesterday for a hike but they actually had the Twin Peaks sign up. They usually don’t outside of twin peaks day because of the signs history of being stolen. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Been seeing this thing go around lately. Was judging this mostly on the games that most heavily shaped my taste in games/art more broadly. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 25/09/2026The new Protomartyr album is great, easily their best since Relatives in Descent. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Finally playing Mother 3. Somehow never have despite Earthbound being one of my all time favorites and the emulation/translation patch being very easy to use. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Been doing the “1001 albums to hear before you die generator” as a little personal project. Had Loveless by MBV today and damn that album is still insanely good. maybe the best the guitar has ever sounded as an instrument. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Also to be clear, I don’t care about how accurate or not accurate the movie is to the games, RE fans who complain about that shit deserve nothing 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 23/09/2026I haven’t seen it yet, but one of the most common complaints I’ve heard about the RE movie is a weak third act, which means it actually is accurate to the games! 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Finally picked up a copy of Ceres and Calypso in the Deep Time. In my mind this is as good of a shoegaze album as the foundational records of the genre like Loveless or Souvlaki. 000

Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I sometimes question who the audience for Will Stancil even is. He’s a failed politician turned rabid mysoginist and transphobe who refuses to believe people’s lived reality because he’s a chart pervert. There is nothing to like, nothing to latch onto personality-wise. 110
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Wasn’t sure that I’d like it because I’ve never liked the Witcher 3, but Blood of Dawnwalker actually kinda rocks so far. It suffers a bit from being built on the shitty Unreal Engine 5 but there’s a lot of cool mechanics and a story that actually hooked me pretty early on. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Been playing the new Onimusha. Pretty fun sword type game. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 11/09/202625 years ago today one of the best albums of all time released and nothing else of historical note happened. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 10/09/2026I actually do remember, I was at a job interview when Kirk got kirked and didn’t see until like an hour after the fact. my first thought was “lol, lmao” and my thoughts a year later are “lol, lmao.” We still may be in horrifically dark times but the world’s at least a bit better without him in it. 010
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Have to stop taking my meds for two weeks so I can get tested for something, can’t wait for two weeks of awful acid reflux!! 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I think the OoT remake looks decent actually. Link is overdesigned as shit but the environments actually looked pretty good. feels like a lot of people are vastly overreacting similarly to how they did with the Silent Hill 2 remake a few years ago. 111
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Been rewatching Twin Peaks and I’ve recently reached the season 2 slump where the main mystery is already solved and the show lost any real direction for like 10 episodes. Very interesting case where the episodes obviously kinda suck but I’m never left bored by them. 100
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Finally added some more Jeff Rosenstock and Bomb the Music Industry to the collection. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Picked up copies of Ran by Akira Kurosawa and Cure by Kiyoshi Kurosawa, I love da movies. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 28/08/2026On one hand I do understand the critiques of the MGS master collections as being very bare bones. But on the other hand it’s great to finally have MGS4 officially playable on something that isn’t the PS3. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Now that it’s been about a month I think this is solidly my AOTY so far now. one of the best post-rock albums of the past few years. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 25/08/2026Most underrated thing about Dolly Parton to me is how insanely good of a guitar player she was. Being able to play those fast finger-picking rhythms while having long nails is a crazy feat. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 17/08/2026Finally had enough money to blow to justify getting myself a switch 2 and a couple games. 000
Kaz @lukazimir.bsky.social · 11/08/2026Been on a replay of Ocarina of Time and I will always love weird looking pre-rendered stuff like this. 000
