Definitely a sense as well that there were aspects that got cut. The exploration sections at the start of story missions look like a prime example. Excellent game though! Don't want my criticisms to put anyone off! Nice to see some new blood in the genre!

Felt the game was also in a slightly ambiguous state as well between the story characters and the off the shelf units. The writing was pretty good but almost felt the lack of permadeath for units was to ensure all the work on the narrative wouldn't be missed by the player.

Finished Star Wars: Zero Company over the weekend! My review is a broadly excellent game but definitely in the shadow of all time greats in the genre like XCOM 2. Felt a tad too easy with broadly no major consequences for leaving your unit in an at risk position.

I've been grinding for this for such a long time! Finally a sub 7 minute Necrodancer run!!!!!!!!!! The seed was very generous but I did also play it well. Got a curve ball quite late on with the RNG gods on Dead Ringer not playing well but managed to find a backup. Just delighted I could land it!

Applies for Starter Fund from UK Games Fund to help clarify funds to finish the game and plan the marketing efforts for release. Rejected funds because of lack of marketing efforts. I get the objection but I need a path to releasing the game before I chuck serious marketing effort behind it... 🙃
