The MIT Media Lab, together with other research teams, has just launched this FANTASTIC open benchmark measuring AI's impact on humans. It assesses physical, psychological, and social dimensions through great visualizations and simple language. Explore the full benchmark below:

Because the EU has postponed enforcement of the AI Act's high-risk provisions to 2027 and 2028, some U.S. states are currently regulating AI much more strictly than the EU. And nobody even noticed.

Humans are used to thriving in a world where cognition is scarce, and life's pace is limited by what is humanly possible. We don't know what it's like to live in a world where cognition is abundant, and life's pace is driven by superhuman capabilities. We'll soon find out.

Sam Altman and other AI CEOs should be much more specific about the 'bad things' they want the world to accept. Many people may not be willing to accept them.

Unpopular opinion: Some AI companies might be actively trying to make their AI models LESS monitorable to avoid legal liability when their models/agents cause harm.

🚨 As a lawyer, I feel SO RELIEVED that Trump has finally clarified how liability law applies to AI! The question was, "Who should be held accountable when AI agents commit a crime?" Watch until the end:

🚨 Yesterday, the "White House Accord on Super Intelligence" was signed. What was supposed to be about AI safety and accountability was instead a PROBLEMATIC endorsement of self-regulation. My comments:

🚨 WHY does every AI agent now have to be fluffy and toy-like, appealing to children? Last week it was Meta's Muse; today it's OpenAI's Dots. These are risky, privacy-invasive products meant for adults only. It would be great if their design and marketing respected that.

NVIDIA has just launched an 'Open Agent Safety Platform,' and it's 1) a great blueprint for agentic AI safety; 2) another step toward stronger open AI ecosystems. To reduce safety incidents, we must act fast. All AI governance professionals should take note:

🚨 Those who say AI is ungovernable or that nothing can reduce the rising number of AI safety incidents are LYING. A 1000-year-old mechanism can help stop these incidents and hold companies accountable. It's called liability law:

Meta never seems to get tired of targeting children. It announced a dedicated device to use its new AI agent, and SURPRISE, it looks exactly like a Tamagotchi, a 1990s toy. Children will start playing with it, and Meta will say that wasn't its intention. Take note.
