This is a guest post by ACX grantee Josh Morrison of 1DaySooner.

My thoughts on Abundance, with a civic tech lens. I found it refreshing that the authors start by plainly stating their audience, which civic tech folks fall squarely into. Their argument: demand side government programs are good (e.g. public benefits), but supply side needs to be more of a focus.

My analogy for LLMs is the enteric nervous system. If your GI tract can sometimes feel like it has a mind of its own... well, it does. And the enteric system is a genuine marvel, great at producing one output (shit) from varied inputs (food). And, and... shit can be useful if properly processed.
