It’s been a long month, time to try and switch off for a few days. Currently failing, brain whirring at 101mph - but I’ll try.

I didn’t even know there were hotels in battle, so I reckon that’s a success.

Amazing! we’re gonna pop into town next weekend for the big re-enactor shin dig I think. the English heritage ‘book tickets for the battle of Hastings‘ link cracked me up.

Ste, I’m round the corner from Battle! when are you hoping to make it here?

That’s ok, I can understand that. for me it’s a no brainer given the amount of travel I do in Europe, I just didn’t realise you were entitled to do it on the basis on one grandparent being born in Ireland.

Have any of my British followers whose Grandparent was born in Ireland successfully applied for Irish citizenship? I know I’m eligible but want to know real world experience before I apply.

Not aimed at anyone in particular btw just a trend I’ve noticed which grinds my gears as a middling achiever under a lot of pressure.

Unpopular opinion but if you’re incredibly successful and still feel the need to repeatedly post about your struggle with imposter syndrome and how hard it is being a high achieving perfectionist, I think you ought to invest in therapy rather than relying on regular external validation

I’m sorry but I just can’t get on board with pronouncing ‘almond‘ AL-mond. It’s AH-mond as far as I’m concerned.

Oh by the way, I can now officially call myself an ‘award winning author‘ which is lovely (more details coming soon 👀). I probably won’t though, because I’d worry it makes me sound like a right twat.
