I have had just an awful day. I woke up this morning from a terribly vivid dream of my Dad. It was so real & I was stuck behind glass waving to him. I have not been able to shake the grief from that dream. Just fucked up my entire day.

Update: I'm still hungry a lot but am doing better at getting my fiber & protein again. However, I haven't lost weight which is part of why I'm doing this again. 🙄 I may still be swollen from surgery, but I don't want to need to cut more calories to see the scale move again.

I haven't worked out since my surgery in July. I just started back this week on my rowing machine & very tiny bit of strength training. My thighs, y'all. Don't ever stop doing squats. I only stopped due to Dr's orders, but wow I missed those.

I logged back into the Lose It app so I can start tracking my macros more closely again. I set up my new goal weight, etc & this is the plan it suggested. 1 calorie a day? What is this? Weight loss for ants?

My son said he can't wait to go to kindergarten because he wants to grow tomatoes outside. It took me a long time to realize he thinks kindergarten is some sort of gardening class.

Sorry, I can't choose just one. Both said by the surgeon after my internal bleeding while I was in the ICU trying not to die. He tried to send me home from the ER the night we found the internal bleeding. "you're a medical mystery." "Surgery is humbling"

The smoke makes me feel like such garbo. Being an asthmatic means my body works overtime to deal with the extra inflammation brought on by these irritants. I'm so tired & losing my voice.

Finally moved from the recliner to the bed. PROGRESS has been made. 11 days in a recliner. It was a great decision for surgery recovery but I am so ready to have other options for sitting/laying down.

I'm getting a bunch of random packages from when I bought tons of new clothes after taking rx painkillers for my surgery last week. It is annoying because I can't wear any normal clothes AT ALL for weeks. Like I can't put pants on that aren't stretchy & at least 1-2 sizes too big rn... 😭

It's weird how my body absolutely refuses to hydrate when I'm sick. I don't want to drink water & can't force myself because it makes me want to puke. Why is my body actively trying to sabotage itself?! I've had 2 separate colds for over 2 wks now & I'm so miserable. DRINK WATER YOU FOOL!

I've started to get a blister from my arm splint. Only 1 more week of wearing it & I'm allowed to take it off more frequently now too. I've had some bad luck the last 8 months. I would like a break please.

I made it to Athens today. It feels surreal to arrive. I'm grieving the loss of both my father & the house I grew up in since they sold it last year. I have to Airbnb in my own home town. I feel like a stranger. Off to the social security office tomorrow to declare my dad dead. This stinks.
