I empathize with her. Embracing the unknown and the terrifying isn't easy, and continuously forcing ourselves to experience pain, death, dismemberment, trauma, and the many coldnesses of reality takes a lot of willingness. It's not something many people are willing to do. And many close off.

To clarify, the reason WHY it's nonsense is because this sort of thing still leads to death, it's just now they have a narrative they can place on it to feel like it didn't happen and avoid the emotions.

Hardly evil. Anyone can adopt it especially as they get older and older and avoid discomfort and uncertainty in favor of security. It's easier for a lot of people to believe they or someone else knows everything than to watch the tenth person you love die in front of you.

For Sig's mom it's only about staying forever protected and believing that everything in life is certain, planned out, and easy to understand. As long as she can continue feeling that way she'll never want to leave that blanket of protection. To the point everything else is evil.

I've been wondering lately if the Speed stat is temporal perception. If Slowpoke is really that slow that means it's temporal perception is extremely low so hours feel like seconds.
