There's large colonies under a few bridges here! So we had a view of them adjacent to the bridge from a levy over a small river tributary and watched them fly out from under to hunt along the water as all the mosquitos and such were coming out!

I've had a lot of beautiful little moments, though I went to a wildlife preserve and saw an inconceivable amount of migrating birds and stayed late enough to watch the bats come out to hunt. The memories of the light and the movement have been playing over and again in my mind!

It's not that I'm "not over my ex", it's that they literally are a threat to my well-being if they are able to access me in any way, and we live in a society with so few tools for support and safety in that regard.
