Absolutely gutted about Kevin Keegan, he was just the nicest, most down to earth guy. Had lunch with him in 2024 and he stayed on long after he needed to just chatting about life in general. He was off to have a Chinese with his daughter and grandchildren in the evening. RIP

Today has been a long old day but a good one. We’ve been to Pompeii, a winery for lunch and to the top of Vesuvius, which was very hard work. Finally back at the hotel enjoying a well deserved drink!

What a fabulous day we’ve had on the Amalfi coast. It’s been a long day, 9 hours, but so worth it. The only pity is it’s so blooming busy but I’m very happy I’ve seen it, it’s just stunning.

Had the interment of step-mother/mother-in-law’s ashes yesterday. Thought it would be nice to place some flowers from her garden by her memorial stone so I picked a bunch on Thursday. How pretty were they? And they smelt amazing too😍🥰

Loving how the new flowerbed is looking after less than a year of being planted. Also feeling quite pleased with myself as I’ve never planted a bed or chosen plants before and they were mostly reduced at the end of last summer. Also very happy to have the hammock up ☺️

Husband has a massive wooden shed on what was our old patio and as you can see it from the kitchen windows I thought I’d try and make it look a bit more attractive. Last autumn I made a window box and planted it and this spring I planted a clematis. I think I succeeded.

It’s so exciting watching all the plants and bulbs I planted at the very end of August growing and starting to bloom and fill out. First two are last year, second two are this year. Think I’ve had to replace two plants that didn’t appear to have survived.
