Netflix's Unabomber mostly works as an origin story with Crowe and Trembley offering strong performances. However, its undercooked script and fictionalized FBI subplot doesn't do much to elevate it as an average streaming thriller. 5.5/10

Digger is certainly well made and looks great with Tom Cruise giving a brilliant performance. However, its bait-and-switch subplot, OTP hysterical characters, and overlong "satire vs. farce" preaching will confuse and infuriate audiences. 4.75/10

Primetime is a fascinating and explosive film about fame and accountability. It's also another excellent showcase from Pattinson in what's sure to be a very Oscar-worthy performance. Highly recommended! 9/10

Zach Cregger's Resident Evil certainly stays true to its gaming roots, but tone and character are both all over the place. Abrams plays it too bro-ish, some comedy bits drag, and it ends on an over-the-top downer note. Granted,...

Coyote vs. Acme is not only a fun little Looney Tunes film for the young and old, but it's also a loving and affectionate tribute to the animated, take-no-prisoners gag-fest of a bygone era. 8.25/10

Nah, Doug Jr. and Limu Emu hardly qualifies because they stay at the sidelines. It's the rest who all deserve to be eaten by hungry weasels, cooked in a large oven, tied to a flying spaceship, or all three at once!

The Dog Stars has enough potential thanks to Scott's stellar direction and great acting from Elordi, Brolin, Qually, and Pearce. Then it takes some odd turns in the second half including an over-the-top Janney plus some stuff are likely explained more in the book. 5.5/10

Just gonna come out and say the 2010's Odd Couple series. Surprised it lasted three seasons more than Matthew Perry's other one season-wonder shows like the very good Studio 60! At least, we got to see him on TV one last time before going to the great sitcom set in the sky.

Mutiny is about what you expect from a Jason Statham. Middle-of-the-road actioner highlighted by Statham punching and carving through his enemies. On the plus, it's the better Statham vs. human traffickers flick than A Working Man. 6/10

The End of Oak Street is a joyous, 1980's-style Spielbergian masterpiece that harkens back to that time where movies are an adventure and how it unlocks our imagination. Hathaway and McGregor are both great, and the dinosaur scenes are intense, frightening, and thrilling. 8.75/10
