Do people still get their bum out on BlueSky? Asking for a friend x

_LucasMichael_ @lucas-michael.bsky.social · 04/04/2025

So we are 4 months in. The crochet was a no go, I’ve read two books and had approximately 1 vegan meal. It’s going well x

Keep neglecting this place when it’s wholesome and lovely for Musk’s rotten site out of habit and I need to not.

BlueSky appears to be having a surge again. Maybe Nazi salutes aren’t the way to win people over!

So far I’ve enjoyed vegan dairylea dunkers and read 50 pages of a book so progress x

When is this place having another surge then? I’ve had enough of Musk and yet I can’t give up that place bc I’ve too many moots who won’t make the move.

TK really needs to just give up on X because I can’t imagine how tiring it is trying to promote your show and you just have hundreds of geeks in his replies going on about how “we watching WWE lil bro ha ha” pls die.

absolutely fucking howling at a wrestling website doing a "worst of 2024 in wrestling" and naming Tony Khan as the worst booker and AEW as the worst promotion listen, doing a "worst of" list is ridiculous enough, but I clicked through on the off-chance I was wrong about the concept... I wasn't.

If we all find 100 posts to like every day, engagement and good will on @bsky.app grows exponentially. Is it worth a few minutes to make the platform stronger ?

Ah it’s slowed down considerably now but still should hit it today. Adding 1m+ per day for nearly a week was huge though

BlueSky will hit 20m users in the next few hours. Huge growth this past week and still on course for 30m by the end of the month if this current sign up right maintains the momentum

What they say: Bluesky is an Echo Chamber What they really mean: The place is well moderated and I can't get away with the hateful bullcrap I spread. I welcome open discussion and conversation on any topic. but I also WHOLESALE welcome the ability to shut up people whom aren't worth listening to.

Going to hit 17m in the next few hours. It hit 15m on Wednesday afternoon (UK Time). It’s showing no signs of slowing down. 20m by the end of the weekend is really possible if these numbers maintain. bsky-users.theo.io

So they hit 16M in just over 24 hours after hitting 15M. If this momentum keeps up they can be at 30M by the end of the month. This doesn’t feel like just a fad to me
