“Regions will remain at the centre of our work” said @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu year ago. We must hold on to this in the next #MFF! Centralisation threatens #cohesion. It takes decisions away from citizens & weakens their #trust in 🇪🇺project. We need strong regions. Promises must be kept!

Great meeting w/ StateSecretary Jan Szyszko. We discussed the plans of #Polan2025EU on the mid-term review & the future of the #CohesionPolicy. It needs to be reformed, but safeguarded for long term investments. We need to keep it closer to our regions & citizens, not further away.
