I've always wanted to play Call of Cthulhu, but the lethality in that game always drove me off. CAIN, however, is similar in stakes but you get psychic powers and can shrug off blows that would kill normal humans. It has a great blend of power fantasy and helplessness that I haven't seen elsewhere.

Been playing CAIN ttrpg by @orbitaldropkick.bsky.social . It's been super fun and I love it: You play as Exorcists hunting down big SCP-like monsters called "Sins" that were formed from human trauma. It makes you investigate clues to get an edge in combat, which I think a lot of systems are missing.

I drew a few caricatures of the Bringers from Magic the Gathering! They are my favorite deck with Morophon the Boundless as the commander, who is able to use its ability to cast the 9 mana creatures for free.

I don't normally complain about general Nintendo Directs but this really could have been an email. Most of the Direct was remakes, remasters, and updates which really bogged down some of the interesting indie games. They should have saved the bigger announcements for a different conference.

Even though they definitely remixed the environments and added new elements like more alcoves or moved things around like the bridge in Kokiri Forest, I still recognize the spirit of the original and it feels like the devs did their homework instead of just making OOT 3D but with the Unreal Engine.

For those of you that don't know, the Nintendo 64 struggled with render distance and in order to save resources and make due with far off lower resolution textures, most 3D games had a fog filter. It's what makes the remake nostalgic for me.

Watched the Zelda Direct with the OOT Remake gameplay! I think it took a little bit for me to get used to it since the realistic lighting was a bit too powerful, but they kept the most important weather aesthetic that gives the original its mood and feeling: The Fog.

AI didn't exist like this pre-Covid. I hope that the day comes where some people realize that they can have fun again if they don't shove their surface thoughts into a sentence predictor for everything. I want them to learn to cherish their worlds and creations as their own.

TTRPGs are meant to a collaborative creative writing projects, and introducing any AI into it makes the whole experience expendable. It makes an "acceptable" experience instead of a memorable one. I'm sad that writing a few paragraphs for a one shot is starting to become a super power. 2/?

I've never used AI myself (don't even know how to navigate to one of their websites) but I'm starting to see more and more horror stories in the TTRPG space. People generating entire worlds and campaigns, player characters that are easily replaceable and soulless. 1/?

Doing a fun little project with #MTG and #Yugioh . Making some Magic the Gathering homebrew cards based on Yugioh's Elemental Hero archetype, and created a "Fusion" keyword that emulates the Yugioh mechanic. The basic heroes inspired the keywords and power/toughness of the fusions.

Potentarch, the Sky God, stole the spotlight and influence of the other Gods to enrich himself. After claiming that he would steal the remainder of their power, in one moment they banded together to defeat the tyrant and banish him and his Agents. But this left a vacuum and a new power grab.

Ice makes the ball slippery. Lightning causes it to move through the air at sharp angles, being a risky move since it can go out of bounds. Water amplifies other effects since it lingers for longer. As for Light and Dark, they are disallowed since all they do is blind both players and spectators.

Fire accelerates the ball to sudden speeds, being used to spike the ball into the opposing court. Earth causes the ball to fall more quickly. Air is the opposite, making it float. Nature makes the ball uneven with vines, lowering the amount of control over returning and passing it.

Videogames and computers exist in Primera, too. The former is in the form of the "Game Master Console" produced by a Galvan entertainment company. Computers are mainly used for documentation, math, and copywriting, but they can also be used to run certain games like the popular "Nimbus" series.

Communication can be done through text only, and in a closed network mainly found only in places that have the infrastructure for it. Mobile phones can connect to this network, being rudimentary devices that are quite cheap to produce and last due to how little power they require.
