I don't like it. I dont like hearing people give up. it feels so much better to see people fight. create more. use spite as your motivator. just don't fucking give up. don't be one less human creating things for humans.

like. I don't know how to phrase this well. but if you're discouraged by AI slop invading your creative sphere. and you stop creating because of it (not moving to other platform. just quitting 100%). you are giving them even more power and influence. you are taking away more humanity from the field.

I completely respect the decision to quit producing things for <insert platform> due to protest against AI. but when people go full-on "I'm never drawing/writing/creating worlds/<other creative pursuit> ever again at all because of AI" is so extremely defeatist and pessimistic in all the wrong ways

anyway to end this thread on a high note I was complaining of there not being enough women-on-man violence in media just today and then I get shown a beautiful montage of 2B killing 9S over and over and my heart fills with pure glee

it turns the whole fucking plot point from "dangerous mystery" to "Generic-Ass Shounen Villain" theres nothing to figure out. he revealed who and what he is. he is merely a "you must acquire this power level to defeat me" villain now. I hate it I hate it I hate it

the quiet but dangerous tension of the protag crew & bradley *secretly* plotting against each other is way cooler than them laying all their fucking cards on the table and bradley just being like 'fuck you yeah I'm a homunculus and evil but theres nothing u can do about it neener neener'

oh I forgot I took pics of when I watched the end of yomitsuga s1 the other day it really is such an Okay anime. it's very nice looking. but I do not have any interest in the plot whatsoever. I do, however, enjoy the yuru torment. and there's a pretty good chunk of that going on

pessimism aside, the overwhelming comments of calling it comfy is a great sign of it being ACTUALLY BALANCED in weight. the worst thing a vr headset could do is be front-heavy. which almost all fucking headsets are. so I've got my fingers crossed that I will also possibly find it comfy to wear

hearing nearly everyone call the frame comfy makes me so curious if I'll hate it when I get mine. (side note, still waiting on my purchase email >_> it's a wonder that I got into vr gaming at all with how sensitive my head is where ANYTHING on my head/face/ears hurts or gives me a headache

left a bunch of groups I was in because I'm sick of my vrchat calendar being completely empty past the first 7 days of a month because the calendar can only pull up the first 100 events or some shit what a ridiculous limitation.... feedback.vrchat.com/website/p/we...

worst thing about corded headsets. the fucking fragile-ass cord severing itself if you even just turn your head a little too much. I dont even spin around or step on it! it just fucking dies on its own!

my bsb cord decided to start dying during this event (screen went super dark if I turned my head a bit. extremely inconvenient in flight..) but I think I have an old cord to replace it with at least temporarily.... but I'll try for a warranty replacement too...

but now I can't be surprised by anything and arch my eyebrows because then I can't see anymore. because the halo mount moves the whole headset up when my eyebrows move. really stupid. trying to keep it in the non-blurry sweet spot, not slip down my face, not give myself a headache etc...is annoying

I am still absolutely immensely upset about not being able to use beyondex and have to go back to the shit-ass bsb audio strap, but, the halo mount is almost just what I wanted. it allows me to use my beyond without any facial interface so I can see my surroundings. great!

but! I've decided the ideal way for me to continue to watch fma brotherhood is by speeding it up at least to 2x lol. then it still kind of holds my attention span. I watched the last 2 eps at 2x speed and it was less painful.

and now for fma. man. .. man..... everything in 03 is better. man. I liked lust better in old show. seeing her get melted in flames by Cool Bro Roy Who Is Cool Bro Look How Cool He Is and then suddenly her skin and muscles reform to be flawlessly beautiful again at the moment of death pissed me off

the only thing I can see myself modeling myself now is MAYBE making a model of my dragon oc rajiq and anytaur-ing him. that would be cool. and he does tickle my "thing I want doesnt exist so I have to make it" desire a bit. plus he doesnt have wings so I don't have to deal with All That.

I'm glad to have the experience of 3d modeling a thing and embodying thing /I MADE/ because that was euphoric. but nowadays I don't feel that "the thing I want doesnt exist so I have to make it" manic desire anymore. which is a little sad in a way but also I'm really happy with my avatar choices now

I miss using her sometimes but she just had so many problems and fixing all of them would be such a fucking hassle. the vertex symmetry got all fucked up at some point (strangles blender) and it's basically unfixable unless I spend DAYS unfucking it and I aint got that motivation anymore.

tbf I was trying face tracking on my own from-scratch first-avatar-I-ever-made. the mouth had so many stray vertices that were not set up cleanly & were pulled in multiple directions due to overlapping blendshapes & just looked so bad. an avatar actually made by a professional would look better...

I'm still not THAT interested in face tracking, because my face is not expressive, and I thought it looked extremely bad on me when I tried quest pro a long time back. but the face tracking on the tridrogon, specifically, is appealing to me. I am curious to test it out on this avatar...

my ideal vr setup inches ever closer to reality... steam frame+fluxpose trackers... I also heard some interesting things said about paper tracker in walkies yesterday, I had never heard of them before, but it was being praised as a much better alternative to babble

horrible awful terrible seam from before. left and right were completely different colors with an obvious seam. oh I hated that. I'm so happy to finally fix that awful effect

ahh!!!! I think I finally found why my shiny bits were making such a horrible mismatched obvious seam down the middle of my face!! and fixed it!! aaaaaa!! that was bothering me for a while. it finally looks more like iridescence I was trying to go for....!!!

one of my custom facial interface presses painfully against my nose. another one presses painfully against my forehead. I really, REALLY wanted the halo mount, so that it doesn't press against my face AT ALL. but we'll see! we'll see. we'll see. squints.

finally did so after trying to take stupid photo imitating this sticker from neo's server and my pov transparent snout is still visible here AAAAA but NOW it is finally hidden from both other peoples views AND hidden from mirror/camera. finally.

I copied my snout as a separate transparent mesh to make it visible to myself in my pov, but I never bothered linking the visemes, so it always shows up in my photos. .....I finally got around to clicking the checkbox in poiyomi to hide it from camera. oops. that was way easier than I thought it was
