In the latest pre-release of Python Environments extension, we added an API to set "groups" on the environment managers list. Making it easier for environment manager extensions to deal with displaying large lists of environments.

Screenshot of the Environment Managers view of the Python Environments extension, showing the Conda environments grouped by Prefix and Named environment groups.

There's a new VS Code extension called Data Analysis for GitHub Copilot which was released by our team fairly recently. The data agent helps you make more informed decisions by executing Python code to perform advanced data analysis and generate visualizations 📊

Invoking the @data agent in GitHub Copilot Chat and prompting it to display the correlation between house price and income based on the data in the housing.csv file

Starting with this one... Highlighting our favourite underrated feature in VS Code, our Python debugger's "Jump to Cursor": hit a breakpoint, right-click on a previously executed line, and continue execution from there 🤩

Debugger running in VS Code on Python code, stopped at a break point. Right clicking on a previously executed line, selecting "Jump to Cursor" and selecting "step over" to re-execute that line.

well, hi! those who know me also know I'm not too good with posting on social medial due to ✨ anxiety ✨ (except on IG I guess), but my team is posting some fun content on our work's account, so I figured I'd start sharing that here too! i.e. I hope those following me like Python and/or VS Code :p
