Behind every breast cancer diagnosis is a person whose life and future matter. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I honor those navigating treatment, celebrate survivors, remember loved ones lost, and thank care teams. Everyone deserves screening, care, and support at every step.

A symbol fosters understanding, but patience and respect are vital. On Eric's ID Law's one-year anniversary, I honored the advocates behind this Maryland change. The butterfly on IDs signals hidden disabilities and enables safer, clearer, more dignified interactions.

Everyone deserves a home that is safe, respectful, and supportive. Maryland proclaims October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month to stand with survivors, recognize advocates, remove barriers, hold abusers accountable, and create a Maryland where survivors are truly heard and never alone.

Innovation starts with people coming together. I toured Rocket Lab in Middle River and talked with the Maryland Aerospace and Technology Commission about growing our aerospace industry. These partnerships help turn Maryland’s aerospace strengths into good jobs and opportunities statewide.

An update for Montgomery and Prince George’s counties❗️ WSSC Water crews continue working to restore full service at the Potomac Water Filtration Plant. Water remains safe to drink, but residents should continue limiting water use to essential needs today.

Maryland’s quantum future is taking shape. I toured Microsoft’s Discovery Center at its ribbon cutting, had dinner with UMD President Darryll Pines and Australian representatives, and met Finnish Minister Ville Tavio on research and business ties. These ties create opportunity for Marylanders.

Men’s mental health deserves more open conversations and more spaces where people feel comfortable asking for help. Glad to join men from across Baltimore to talk mental health, wellness and the power of simply checking in and showing up for one another.

Tough losses for Baltimore yesterday, but an incredible day for our city. For the first time ever, the Ravens and Orioles played regular-season games here on the same day. Sad to see baseball winding down, but excited that football is back. Baltimore always shows up. 💜🏈 🧡⚾
