Need To Know Basis is launched ! The team is now working on data collection in the Farafenni region of The Gambia. Thank you to the team for all their work in the field and for their sensitivity asking men and women about information sharing and FGC!

Committed to tracking my time allocation this year. Here are the top tasks I worked on, and how they map with overworking (>8hrs logged in a single day). The tenure track is rough, for sure, but I am also definitely taking advantage of the flexibility (middle of the week no-work days).

HR100 stats are a bit better, but only a bit - as a first year entrant with no finishes, that's a 1.3% chance for me. Similar to my chances at WSER on my third year!

It's lottery day for both WSER and HR100. Year 3 for me for WSER and 1st year for HR100. These WSER lottery stats are crazy! Looks like a 1.7% chance for me on that one

Guest lectured for a class at Cornell today. It was so much fun to share some of my bioarch research with this crop of undergrads who was very focused and interactive. Just wild and grateful to be here now!

Day 3 - the dog now has a Halloween costume (she's a bat). She also has had 2+ hrs of exercise today. She would like someone to save her from this amount of attention please.

Day #1 solo dog parenting. Oreo is being extra cute and cuddly as she recovers from her long run yesterday.
