We had a few inches of soft powdery snow overnight. Last summer’s Queen Anne’s Lace had little white hats. As we walked through a field of nodding winter blooms. we flushed several deer. They sprang up and bounded away, crashing through the tall weeds, sending clouds of drifting snow.
