Messed a bit with Gale Gunner, which has the really fun thing where they have very animated up close models and very static far away models. It's very charming when you catch the camera cuts from the model with a flat mouth texture to suddenly fully animated and moving face

Hrm. I am realizing, Idk what the Matchup Level necessarily does. Battles are handled just by rolling a D6, so like, does it weight the dice more in your favor?? Idk, I'm sure I'll find out, but curious.

I think that overdetailed internals is something that gets associated with model culture which is funny because Okawara was doing illustrations like these since 1979, so the impulse has always been there since before the first Gundam model kit even existed (july of 1980)

Old pics from a few years ago now but HGAC Mercurius Suivant.... I did alter it a bit because I wanted to give it the same colors as the SD Gundam G Gen version, since I think the pop of red on the head really is nice I really want more of those circular bit mounting stands...

As I continue looking through games, King's Field 1-3 all have their dialogue as textures seemingly. It's kinda interesting because from what I saw, Echo Night 2 at least did not do that. I'd have to check 1 later...

There is also the Dark Slayer which belonged to Guyra, the Moonlight Sword which belonged to Seath, the sword owned by Merrill Ur - the swordsman of the High Elves, and also the Triple Fang which belonged to the King.

I find looking at the textures fun though... seeing a game's guts is just neat, whether it's seeing a little face the artist drew in the unused margins, or seeing whatever else they scanned in like the Portishead logo or the Stephen King "Study Dammit" poster

It's also fun going throuugh textures so I can see things like the various posters.... (It can also help with reverse image searching for their sources in some cases). Sometimes they change things and sometimes they just use the Cospa logo unchanged
