Exciting news! Sedna Robotics in Boston has outfitted Warden, the autonomous ocean observer with Lowell's data loggers! Co-founder Andrew Gregg hopes that Warden can help fill the subsurface gaps in the ocean observing systems left by traditional buoys and cooperative research efforts like #eMOLT.

Exciting news! Sedna Robotics in Boston has outfitted Warden, the autonomous ocean observer with Lowell's Dissolved Oxygen, Temperature Depth and CTD data loggers! Sedna co-founder Andrew Gregg is hoping that Warden can help fill in some of the subsurface gaps in the ocean observing systems left by traditional buoys and cooperative research efforts like eMOLT.

As a demonstration, the Sedna Robotics team launched Warden in Brewster last week and set it to sample a 5 km grid in a part of Cape Cod Bay with no DO measurements available through Mass DMF or eMOLT. Teams from Gulf of Maine Lobster Foundation and Commercial Fisheries Research Foundation are working with Sedna Robotics to incorporate this data into the existing eMOLT infrastructure so that they can be publicly accessed on ERDDAP and incorporated into FIShBOT.
